  1. Very nice! Got a couple of these in the pile myself; looks nice in the box, but it's good to see all those nice parts fit together so well. Did you have any fitment issues?
  2. Very clean, both the style and the build.

Nice job! I, too, have a couple of these in the box, and need to see them done. Were the Cragars in the box, or did you source them from another kit?
  4. This one has been an adventure to follow, but much to learn from each other in threads like this. All success means nothing new learned! This made a very attractive display piece, but honestly, I would have been happy to have the chassis and interior assembly displayed as a cut-away, stand alone model. That interior is just beautiful on it's own, and I may copy the color scheme to drop into a silver body. Congrats on whipping this into shape!
  5. Instrument panel is just amazing, front and back!
  6. Not one I care to own now, but 10-year-old me would have wanted a dozen of these based on that box art. What eye candy!
  7. Lookin' good!
  8. Incredible that we don't have a really good TH350 in scale! They are/were so common!
  9. I think the Monogram 70 Buick GSX is the kit I had in the back of my head, I think it has a TH400 with separate pan.
  10. That little no.32 car just sums up "hot rod" to me, and is the kind of kit that made me want to build model cars as a kid. Beautiful builds!
  11. Ooh that's pretty. That painted center on the wheels ties nicely with the body color. Sharp model.
  12. POP!
  13. Holy smokes, YES! I've been collecting reference materials for EXACTLY that project, in fact. Good call, Snake!
  14. I love me a yellow five-seven, and this one is NICE! I got to experiment with the turn signal amber now.
  15. That is a gorgeous color, and a very nice model!
  16. Custom seats from AMT 57 Ford: 20.5mm W x 31mm H x 31mm D. Could file down the headrest and reshape as needed.
  17. Happy to help, and you shouid be good for short term like that!
  18. Seems like there was a kit with a TH350 that had a separate ribbed chrome or aluminum pan on the chrome sprue? That ring any bells with the gurus here? I may be thinking of a TH400, but it seems like it might have been a Monogram 1/24, but it escapes me at the moment... Interesting all choices so far seem to be short tail shaft only!
  19. If by "mix a quantity", you mean add thinner and store, I'd advise against it, as most paints don't keep well once reduced or thinned. If you're just decanting, what I've done to seal up glass paint jars more effectively is to cut snug fitting discs of soft plastic to tuck up inside the lids. I keep the tops from coffee, oats, etc. for that purpose. They provide a nice friction free seal, and paint doesn't stick to them and bind.
  20. Oh yeah! Very cool build.
  21. NICE! love that shade of yellow, it's perfect for this car. You really captured the flavor of these racers. Well done!
  22. Oh, sorta like Chevy's "Longhorn" trucks of the late 60's/early 70s?! Good to know.
