  1. When I was about 11 or 12 years old, I received a gift of a motorcycle kit that had everything that could appeal to a model building kid like me. Of course, the box art promised much more than what the contents delivered, but I had a blast building the thing. It was a fairly small kit, maybe just some box-scale thing. It was maybe a Harley, but it was ridden by a skeleton decked out as a cowboy! Instead of a seat, there was a saddle. The skeleton had a hat, pistol, rifle (maybe in a holster?), and wasn't really molded as pictured on the box. I do remember (disappointment) that there were no chromed pieces, just all white plastic. I have never since seen another one, but would like to find one, if for no other reason than to see just how bad it may have been! Has anyone ever heard of or remember such a critter?

Nicely done! You don't see many of these built, but this may inspire a few more.
  3. Very creative use of an otherwise scrap piece. Love it! Tasteful color combos on both the models pictured; care to share exactly what colors you used?
  4. NICE. Absolutely love that under-hood picture; clean and realistic detail.
  5. Fill the lines on the right side and power through it! Love those springs, they would easily convert to old-school traction bars.
  6. This is such a fun build to watch; great work !
  7. Where's the angel hair?!
  8. Hey look, there's a motorcycle model! (and it's a nice one) ?
  9. Agreed; good scratch-building skills at work here.
  10. +1 on the single action airbrush; you will be surprised at just how much control you have with one. Paasche H is a workhorse. DickBlick.com (art supplies) has good prices.
  11. Happy to see this continued!
  12. I agree with others here; keep the wheels as they are! Beautiful body work here, keep up the good work!
  13. MMOOOORRRRE!
  14. BTW, what is the source of those headlight units?
  15. Heck yeah! Old school metalflake look down to a T!
  16. These 57 interiors, these very color and fabrics, are among my very favorite old car interiors. Beautiful 59s (makes me miss my 59 Biscayne), and I'd love to see that Pagan gold used on a 57 Chevy; such a gorgeous color!
  17. Sweet little truck! That color works nicely with the decals.
  18. For a more accurate chassis, (I have a work-in-progress boxed up somewhere) the 65 Impala from revell is a good starting point. To get the correct length, I spliced the front portion of an AMT 62 Catalina, cutting just aft of the firewall to get a good glue surface on the Revell chassis pan. This insures you get the curved portion of the Pontiac frame rails just behind the wheel openings, which are shaped way differently on the BOP frames than the Chevy frames. I'll see if I can dig that sucker out...
  19. Ha! Yeah, it's a weird camouflage effect that makes the model hard to see; they blend together! (My eyes are really sensitive to things like that) Love the builds!
  20. Really nice job on these bikes, but that picture in the background makes the first one hard to look at!
  21. To echo everyone else; this is a really nice, clean build!
  22. Chassis now a drifter.
  23. Nice work here.
  24. You had a great year, really nice assortment! Hope this year goes as well or better!
  25. 2 cents worth of PaintShop...
