Very nice, clean build, and that paint is just beautiful, both color and execution.
  2. Cool! This was one of my favorites when I was a kid. Still remember cutting that gold flocked paper for carpeting like it was yesterday.
  3. Nice! What a clean little rod. What is that beautiful shade of blue/turquoise?
  4. Looking fantastic, and adding lights will no doubt bring it alive! Glad to see you back on it.
  5. I've primed an older Monogram '66 Chevelle kit body, molded in red and a notorious bleeder, with a cheap filler primer (light gray) from Harbor Freight called Iron Armor. This was mentioned in another thread here somewhere. It's been several weeks, and absolutely no color has bled through. Pretty nice primer to work with, and relatively inexpensive.
  6. Actually, I wish more people would (or could) take the time to restore photos to threads that were ravaged by the PhotoBucket fiasco; we lost a lot of valuable reference. Nothing gripes me more than finding an interesting thread in a search, only to find all the pics gone. AAAARRRGGHHH!
  7. Well done build of this kit, and agree that the color is a nice change, and quite stylish!
  8. Nice, believable design. That color is RIGHT ON! What color/paint is that?
  9. X2...I don't know HOW I missed this the first time, but once again, thanks for bringing it back! I love these kinds of just-for-purest-fun builds, and this one is right on for your source inspiration. Very cool.
  10. Really diggin' the understated looks of this one; a real sleeper! Well done.
  11. Wow, these are too cool. I have a soft spot for the old drag kits, and these are just how they should look.
  12. OK, I have to admit I clicked on this one expecting to see maybe a decal of a guy duking it out with a pine tree. Purplicious color works nicely on this body! (Chevy II, not a Chevelle ?)
  13. Has a modern "Deal's Wheels" vibe, which is a very good thing!
  14. Sweet little old-school rod, kinda reminds me of a box art illustration, with its primary colors paint scheme. Just plain cool!
  15. Can't argue with a red '59! Sweet build of one of my favorite kits.
  16. That is one slick Mopar! Love that color, and the engine bay is especially nice. Very well done!
  17. That is cool stuff! Love the old box art. I have never seen those Addar "SuperScenes" kits before, and that whole series of Planet of The Apes scenes shown on the above box just appeals to the kid in me, heck, they ALL do! I think Aurora absorbed a lot of the Addar molds, or was it the other way around? The two companies were related, I think, maybe one started from the ashes of the other, or by a former employee? Someone here should know.
  18. All of the above; this one's a real looker!
  19. That custom front end is pretty dang cool!
  20. Love the Apollo-Soyuz hook up! Who made this kit?
  21. Great work; shows what talent and a lack-luster kit CAN produce! Beautiful job.
  22. What they said; this is really NICE! Well done.
  23. Absolutely agree that your color choices here are just perfect; that is a classy ride! Well done.
  24. Very cool. I've long hoped Revell would scale this one down and release a 1/144 version. I mean, a 26" sub is still a nice-sized model, and more shelf-friendly! It'll be fun to follow your progress on this one; it's already coming along quite nicely. Where you going to display this beast, mantle piece?
