Just mark and cut with a small hacksaw, just be sure to support the sheet well as near the edge of your workbench as possible and cut slowly.

The Monogram/Revell 1/24 '65 'vette is my go-to for a nice 1/24 BBC engine (396), and is pretty common, and available in stock or street machine dressing.

Interesting approach, and appears to be working nicely! I'm working on one of these as well, but opted to remove the side trim completely and modify my bumpers to more closely resemble the cheaper body styles. Can't wait to see your results! Following along... -

Will be following this one, and I know you'll do it justice!. That's a crisp looking body, and should really make for a smooth replica. These '63s are near and dear to me because my first real, drive-able car was a '63, though a Biscayne.

Very nicely done! Love the green you used here, and your overall clean building style really makes for a nice display. Funky kits like this are good reminders to have fun with model cars!
