Revell 1968 Dodge Dart GTS 1/25 Scale 2'n1 Kit.

That is one slick Mopar! Love that color, and the engine bay is especially nice. Very well done! -
That is cool stuff! Love the old box art. I have never seen those Addar "SuperScenes" kits before, and that whole series of Planet of The Apes scenes shown on the above box just appeals to the kid in me, heck, they ALL do! I think Aurora absorbed a lot of the Addar molds, or was it the other way around? The two companies were related, I think, maybe one started from the ashes of the other, or by a former employee? Someone here should know.

All of the above; this one's a real looker!

That custom front end is pretty dang cool!

Great work; shows what talent and a lack-luster kit CAN produce! Beautiful job.

AMT 1961 Ford Galaxie Club Victoria - Factory colour Starlight Blue

What they said; this is really NICE! Well done. -
Absolutely agree that your color choices here are just perfect; that is a classy ride! Well done.

Very cool. I've long hoped Revell would scale this one down and release a 1/144 version. I mean, a 26" sub is still a nice-sized model, and more shelf-friendly! It'll be fun to follow your progress on this one; it's already coming along quite nicely. Where you going to display this beast, mantle piece?

Very cool, and thanks again for an entertaining, informative review, and for the nice close-up pics! Now I want one, too. Fujimi seems to me as odd a company as this plane is odd as an aircraft. If the company were a man, I would swear he's manic-depressive. When they do a kit right, it's SO nice; subtle engraving, crisp casting, great fit, etc..., but when they get it wrong, oh man, I just want to be somewhere else.

Your patience is really paying off here! The model is looking beautiful.

AMT's series of 1969 Olds 442s ( W-30, Hurst Olds, etc) should have what you need and are plentiful. I think the engine is a 455, but externally should work just fine as a big Olds 350. Not sure off the top of my head what tranny they use, so maybe a Revell 69 Camaro would be your best bet for a 4 speed trans.

Do this! I like to mix Testors flat enamels; you can get an enormous range of realistic metal shades quite easily. For iron manifolds, I start with Flat Steel ( a "warmer" silver than aluminum) and add Flat Black a drop at a time to darken to taste. Sometimes I'll add a drop of Flat Rust or Flat Brown if I want it to look not-so-freshly cast. Those Testors metalizers mentioned above are VERY nice if you can lay your hands on some.

Mohair was such a subtle finish, in 1/25 scale I think any attempt at replicating that fine a texture would look rough. A dead flat finish, applied possibly in thin layers with a brush to give just a bit of visual interest, might be the best way. Spraying might look a little too perfect or uninteresting. I think we sometimes try too hard to replicate textures we KNOW are there, but really shouldn't SEE at 1/25 actual size. Engine block texture and vinyl top surfaces are two that seem to almost always get over-exaggerated, for example.

Crystal clear! Impressive. -
Beautiful model and car! I really like the extra "flash" the Canadian Fords and Mercs had.

Nice engineering of that roll cage. Can't wait to see more of this build!

I just had to re-visit this thread from the first post onward, and I STILL laugh out loud like an idiot when I come to the pic of the red "Corvette" model, I just can't help myself. -
Man, that paint is just plain purty!

Good to see a tri-five cousin getting some love. The Olds is such a nice looking automobile, and along with the '56 Bel Air, is just made for two-toning. Nice job!

Nice job as always. This interior is VERY attractive to me, and I love the simple gold wheels against whitewall tires; very stylish. Congratulation on another job well done.
-
Nice buildup! I love your engine bay detailing, and just the overall vibe of this one. She's a real beauty. Very well done!

Great looking Mustang! Your detailing touches make a remarkable difference (love the engine bay). Well done! -
How about constructing a coffee table with a glass top and sides that encloses the garage, that will provide a dust-free view.

Oh yeah, that's nice! Cool look, nice details, and I think your hood sits better than any I've seen of this kit!
