I've got Dr. Krook's Medicine Show and a very damaged Der Guber Wagen. I'm going to eventually try to put the Wagen back together. These are neat kits and I agree, they should be reissued. Great Job!

What did you see on the road today?
Deathgoblin replied to Harry P.'s topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Was in Grayson KY today, and saw a car lot off a side street, but noticed some classic cars. They had a Kaiser sedan, a VW Bug convertible, Bug conversion pickup, a 59-60 Edsel Wagon, a Lincoln coupe (Mk. 3?) Porsche 924 and a 59 Ford hardtop convertible. Got pics. Oh, and a hearse. -
New one just finished today. It fought me a little. I somehow snapped the top of the windshield frame when I was removing the braces. Overall it came out pretty good.

Engine looks fantastic!

Why do you model?
Deathgoblin replied to Matt Bacon's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
All of the above and then some. It's also a means to keep my artistic skills sharp, and I don't just build cars. I've got a couple of shelves of starships, a few shelves of anime girls, and I've got an entire Eldar (Aeldari?) Swordwind army for Warhammer 40K with the Avatar and Phoenix Lords. Oh, and mecha. -
Just finished this one today. Assembly reminded me of the 55 Chevy, I'd like to get another kit and take a 2nd crack at it.

I'm working on a 1953 Corvette Kit, and the tampo printed white walls were printed on the wrong side. Paint wouldn't come off without damaging the tire, so I decided to paint over it. I mixed semigloss and flat black about 50/50 with a dab of leather brown. Matches perfectly.

Painting parts while on sprue
Deathgoblin replied to jeffdeoranut's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
I think the best answer is whatever works best for your process. Personally, I'm all over the place. I'll primer most of the kit while it's on sprue then take things off and paint them, sometimes I'll paint things and then have to unpaint a little to assemble, Small parts will sometimes get painted on the sprue because I have hammer hands. -
Just finished this today. It was a fun kit overall and goes together pretty well. I HAD to swap out the engine, though. The rest of the car was so mean looking, but had a weenie looking engine. I dumped in a 409 with Hillborn (spelling?) injection. It really didn't take much work to make it fit. The color is Tamiya metallic orange.

For me, the order is the K5 Blazer, The VW T3 and then Billy's Camaro. Want all 3, though.

Atlantis is doing the T.D. Pie wagon.

Do Want! -
This is a surprisingly fun kit. I'd like to get another Hasegawa (?) XJS, but this one builds up really nicely. Excellent job!

Just finished this one today. I think the paint came out better. Learned a new technique on getting the paint polished: I cut a q-tip in half and chucked it in my cordless Dremel with a little Novus 2 on it. It's great for getting into small areas. I made a bezel for the gauges and opened up the passenger side window
