  1. Great looking paint color and finish. Like the "shaved" body look.
  2. Great looking build and still looks fresh. Like the engine detailing and the chrome trim still looks good.
  3. Great looking build. Like the custom touches to the front end and the artillery style wheels. I remember those window mounted "swamp coolers" from back in the day. We would stop and get a bag of ice to add to the cooler, they worked very well for the time.
  4. This is a family air loom and should preserved as is.
  5. Looks like you're well on your way to making a great looking OEM grill and front end on this build. Like you I have often wondered why AMT made the front-end parts in the way that they did. My thinking is that they may have considered offering a post WW2 version of this body style and the front end could easily be switched out.
  6. If you are not now, you should start following Mecum Auctions. Every now and then something of this order goes thru the auction in the upper $20k to mid $30k range. Depends on who the buyers are on any given auction.
  7. This is Chevrolets Rally Green color.

Thank you, David. I have built a few models of past vehicles I have owned, and this one had a lot of fun memories for me.
  9. Great looking color and finish. Clean looking body trim.
  10. Always fun to build a model of a car from the past, especially one like you had.
  11. Sounds like my wife lately. I don't want to get into numbers, since I really don't know what they are, but if I was half my age and built at least one a week there would be more than a few left over when I die in what we call my wife's "Widows Pension".
  12. I lived on the Montrey Peninsula until I married my wife and moved to Sacramento. Easy to spend a day tasting and be home that night. At that time tasting was free and you would often get to talk to the Wine Maker or someone close on staff and they would give a lot of insight on the current ventage. This would often determine what and how much we would buy at the time. We have been back for the Harvest Ball at Sattui Winery but left the area in '96 and when we last visited in 2005 things had gotten so overgrown with tourists it's just not the same anymore.
  13. Don't know how I missed this one, but I sure like the way it turned out. The paint color and finish look great and like the factory stripes. I also have one that I have just never gotten to but looking at yours mine might move up in the Q.
  14. I'll bet the problem can be traced back to that addition. Often times when additions are added to existing structures the HVAC systems are not always integrated as they should be. I would still look into having a professional HVAC person look into it, as it might be nothing more than the location of the thermostats. Has to be a frustrating issue at this time of the year.
  15. Do you also have two Thermostats? Where thew Thermostats are located in the house also makes a difference. Maybe consider having a good HAVAC person check it out for you. Could also save you a little on the heating and A/C bills.
  16. I bought something on this order to try and keep the Tree Rats out of the bird feeder. Sort of a Bunji Cord affair when the squirrel jumped on the feeder it would launch them in the air. Bad thing is they started thinking this was a Disneyland type squirrel ride.
  17. Great looking build. Reminds me of some of the late '60's Show Cars that were always fun to look at. Like the clean finishes.
  18. Great color and clean looking body trim.
  19. Great looking paint color and finish. Like the stance and the Bracket Racer look.
  20. Our favorite stops are Sattui and Frog Leap and just about anything from Rutheford and the Silverado Trail areas.
  21. Beautiful looking paint colors and finish. Clean body trim. Like the stance and the wheel choice. I'm also a big fan of this kit and '56 Chevys in general and have built a few. My family had a 210 4-door when I was in school, and I think has always been an influence in my liking them.
  22. Great looking finishes. Like the kits design.
  23. Sometimes it is better to deal with quality than quantity. Learned a lot about the fine detailing you put into your builds.
  24. Great looking paint finishes and trim.
  25. Beautiful looking colors and finish. Very cleanly detailed trim and engine. There was a time when it was easier to make monthly payments on a new car that could handle just about anything out there and had a 5/50k warranty for when you broke it.
