Great looking interior and body color combination. The body color looks very rich, and the interior is well detailed.

1950 Chevrolet 3100 Pickup

You and Davd D. were talking about adding the chrome fender trim from the Galaxie kit or using stripes of plastic. This is a picture of one of the Galaxie kits I built a couple of years ago and I found it easier to make my own strips than using the kits trim. -
Who doesn't love a mock-up? Let's see yours!

Getting closer to being done. This is a model based on a Baja Bug I owned in the mid to late 1970's. -
Great looking shade of blue, lots of metallic.

Great looking finishes both inside and out. Like the "bad" tread wear pattern on the tires. Doing a lot of donuts lately? "
-
Super smooth looking paint finish. Like how you blended the custom body parts without any blend lines showing.

The color is so deep looking, really like the color and finish. Nice looking interior and like the wheels and tires.

1950 Chevrolet 3100 Pickup
espo replied to Zippi's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
Look forward to this build. This last week on Hot Rod TV they took a '48 GMC, same as a Chevy really, and placed the body on an extended S-10 chassis. They added the LS engine as sort of expected. -
57 Chevy Bubbletop pickup

When you mentioned "glass's" I was thinking you wanted to see better. We have some of these we use on the patio in the evening. Great idea, maybe cut the bubble just a little higher to make it better cover the width of the cab? -
Anyone Installed Traction Bars on a Kit?
espo replied to RocketFoot's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Since you have these on your car and you're building a replica of your Mustang then you should add them. Sounds like you are familiar with how they are installed, and I would just replicate that to the best of your ability. Don't know if going full "U" bolt replica is needed unless you feel comfortable doing that. At the very least just glue them to the rear spring mounting pad. I think there are a set in the Revell '69 Nova SS kit. There may be others also. Looking at your picture these could be made out of some scrap spruce. I'm sure others will chime in with some other suggestions. -
Beautiful looking paint finish and color. The chrome trim is all cleanly done and the interior looks great.

Realistic looking weathering on the finish. -
Like the original looking body and wood finishes.

A lot of different design elements in the body and trim. Like the rear fender flares. The interior design looks good, and the engine details are really well done.

Got the final coat of Tamiya gloss white and clear. A light polish and a little chrome foil trim. Wheels and tires are done. Time to put the interior in place and put it on the chassis. I have tinted the windows and adding chrome foil to the moldings on the windows.

07 Solstice
espo replied to Holeinthehead2's topic in 1:1 Reference Photos: Auto Shows, Personal vehicles (Cars and Trucks)
Remember reading an article in either Hot Rod or Motor Trend about a cottage company that was putting LS2 engines in Solstice for fun and profit. Could this be one? -
What did you see on the road today?
espo replied to Harry P.'s topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Not able to get a picture since I was going west on a four-lane divided HI way in a construction zone and Kansas finest had someone pulled over in the east bond lanes. What caught my eye was the squad car was a Dodge Challenger with a blue colored body and a silver roof and rear deck lid. Till now I have only seen the KHP using mostly Dodge Chargers in either black or white and Dodge SUV's in black. The paint job reminds me of a KHP Charger I saw at a Quick Trip gas station last year with the same paint job. The driver was taking a break with another officer in a black Charger and the unusual paint job is what I noticed. Maybe that Kansas is either changing their color scheme or the new colors may denote some other special type of service. So, if you're pushing the speed limit in Kansas, I suggest that if you see a blue Challenger, hood scoop and all, coming up on you from behind, just know they may be there to ruin your day. -
Great looking paint finish and the body trim is all cleanly done.

Great looking paint finish and like the bright green color. Good engine detailing. Like the wheels and tires.
-
Great looking paint color and finish. The flame decals look good. Like the stance and the way, the wheel and tires tuck up under the fenders.
-
Great looking Ford, and I think it looks better without the stripes. The trim and interior are really clean looking, and I like the stance.
