  1. Fun to resee this one.
  2. Thanks, guys, for your interest. I posted the finished build along with a few others today under My 2022, finally builds.
  3. Great job on opening up the body. I have to agree with everyone else, this sure looks like the original AMT '40 Ford. Thats not a bad thing in my mind. I think AMT had an optional OHV V8 engine in their kits.
  4. Congratulations on your new car. As you mentioned these can be bought at a reasonable price. I have often wondered about such a buy since the same year Camaro Z-28 will cost more at auction than the Corvette.
  5. One thing to check when you see an open slot on the model shelf is the label that shows what is supposed to be in that slot. In the past I have seen a listing for a model that I knew was coming and they hadn't stocked in the past. They may be tagging a slot for the inventory comes in.
  6. Going to try and build a few more models of cars and trucks that I have owned in the past. There are many that are not kitted, but I'll try a resin body if I can find one.
  7. Might try Tamiya Semi-Gloss Black. I have used the old stock X-18 in the bottle. I'm not sure how the new Tamiya paints are going to be, but I think this will give you a light sheen finish but not a full-on gloss look.
  8. Enjoyed following this build. Thought the black and blue color accents were a little unusual but they do work with the theme. Great fabrication work throughout.
  9. This '68 Firebird is an old AMT kit with a couple of build options. Used the stock 400 engine with the chrome trim. The chassis is lowered in front and added traction bars to the back. Used the rear slicks with the optional wheels. The paint is Tamiya TS-21 Gold, and the interior is Tamiya AS-15 Tan (USAF).
  10. This is the Moebius '65 Plymouth Belvedere 1. Used Tamiya Black and Clear on the body. The interior is done in Tamiya Oxide Red Primer and Gloss Red to represent the vinyl portion of the seats and the dash. Ken's Fuzzy Fur for the carpet. Other than plug wires all else is as comes from the kit. I did flip the front spindles to try and get the nose down a little and the rear slicks just do fit in the back.
  11. Having a hard time bringing the rest of my builds over, so here are the rest. This '64 Plymouth model of the Lawman race car was when I realized the sight was just to shoot for this. The Orange body paint just didn't line up after I was done, and it looked so good when I masked it.
  12. Beautiful clean looking build style. Like even the dirty Broncho.
  13. Great looking trio. Remember following the Camaro build and the Blazer both. Great work.
  14. Beautiful looking pair, like seeing the Olds done here.
  15. Beautiful looking color and paint finish. Cleanly detailed trim.
  16. Great looking Tall T.
  17. Beautiful looking little '32. I was impressed by the first picture of the finished build. With the included layout pictures of the parts that you used give a much better appreciation for what you have created here.

    AMT 70 Chevelle

    Great looking Chevelle.
  19. Great subjects and the paint and clean detailing on all of them.
  20. Great looking group and I like the variety of subjects. The finishes are all in keeping with the style of vehicle.
  21. Great looking recreation.
  22. Beautiful looking paint finish and engine detailing.
  23. Knowing this basic kit and seeing all of the body work and engine and chassis detailing you have done is really impressive.
  24. Beautifully done, the wire wheels and white exhaust manifolds do put it in the '70's. Great looking paint and cleanly detailed.
  25. Beautiful looking finishes and easy to see why the engine would take so long.
