  1. I say go for it. I have often used actual cars I have seen at car shows as an inspiration for a model build and colors.
  2. Great looking induction setup. Also thank you for the heads up on the foil issues. Great looking paint and I like the interior and exterior color combination.
  3. I started in the car business in '74 just north of Santa Barbara in Santa Maria. I had a customer pull into the lot one day wanting to trade her Vega Hatchback. I was standing on the showroom floor and her car was a good 50 feet away outside. I could see thru the body panel below the hatch between the taillights and the license plate all the way to the back of the back seat. Other than that, and the oil burner engine the car was pretty clean.
  4. Great looking work truck, almost too nice to take to the job sight. I like the bed toolbox addition.
  5. Great looking Merc. The color resembles some of the somber colors on some post-war era cars.
  6. Great clean looking build.

    The Matador

Beautiful looking Kustom. Great paint finish and looks true to the original Kustom.

    Tamiya rx7 r1

Great looking paint and body line details.
  9. Beautiful looking build. Almost a shame the interior is hidden away inside. Paint finish is smooth as glass, and I like the black trim around the windows. Got a lot of good ideas for future projects watching your build.
  10. Great looking color combination and the interior looks perfect with the exterior. I also agree with the look of your first picture, a great setting for a background. Clean looking chrome trim and engine detailing.
  11. That's what I thought. The T-Bird grill area on this model tends to tuck under with the bottom edge of the grill being further back than the top where it meets the hood. Being a custom, you can do it anyway you want of course.
  12. This gives you a smoother looking body and you will not have to worry about lining up the body line on the cab and the bed.
  13. Very nice drink tray. I had a van conversion years ago and the drink tray looked just like this.
  14. Is that the '50 or '60 ventage El Camino? I think they said it represented the grill from a "60 Mercury.
  15. Much sleeker looking with the changes to the roof and the leading edge of the grill. Different grill and headlights ?
  16. Great looking interior and I like how you detailed the wheel centers. Amazing how much little touches like this add to the overall appearance of a build.
  17. The candy color gives the paint color a lot of depth.
  18. Now you again have my interest as to color.
  19. Beautiful looking GTO's.
  20. I like the change in the induction system. Hard to beat a 440 with a 6-pak.
  21. Great looking interior detailing. From the color of the inner trunk, I would say you're going with clear on the gold exterior body color.
  22. The price on the windshield looks like it is $12 k plus. Should someone like this car at all and it was in as good a mechanical shape as the body and paint this would be a stud horse deal in my mind.
  23. Beautiful looking finishes. The color looks like it could have been an OEM Chrysler color at that time. Very clean chrome trim details.
  24. Great job restyling the body. Could be a prototype for a Pixstar future car movie. I like how you used all the different parts box parts to make such a nice cohesive body design and the paint looks good as well.
  25. Great looking fab work on the sliding door and hood.
