Find a bright colored interior and if you're using stripes have them in a matching color to the interior. White is a very clean looking color and always looks good on a 1:1 when clean. My daily driver is a white '18 Charger GT with the spoilers painted to match.

I like the realistic finishes on the engine.

Many years ago, I lived in the area of Pismo Beach in California. While there were many types of Beach Buggies and 4X4's running thru the dunes there were also rigs that were normal looking cars set on Jeep, Broncho and GM 4X4 frames. One I remember seeing often was a '66 Chevy Caprice Woody Wagon on an old Blazer chassis. This rig almost looked more like a show car than a beach crower.

MoPar offered a lot of in-your-face colors in that era. They also had a lot of others as well. Maybe study a color chart of their offerings to see what appeals to you.

Joe is correct about the thickness of this product. I apologize if any information I provided became a problem. I was only trying to help with a solution to the Chrome Foil problem and I was very much in error for not having tried this myself before offering this information. I did just now try applying some to an old body I had. Joe is correct about the loss of fine trim detail. I used an old AMT '49 Ford and did the front fender and part of the door side moldings. The fine markings stating that it is a Customline body style almost disappeared. The side molding itself required a lot of work with a Tamiya Q-Tip to get it laid down, but it did look good when done. The cutting of the tape required a little more pressure than foil as you might expect with it being much thicker. The adhesive doesn't leave any residue the way that foil has in the last few years, but there is a dry somewhat stringy adhesive between the tape and the body. I can see this being used for a Bumper or Grill or larger Body Moldings but not for any fine detailing.

Good to know, Like I said it was information that I got from another builder here and I had not had a chance to use it myself. I will be digging out an old model body today and see, but with this information this may very well be a bum suggestion.

Your color selection for the grill looks just as I remember the stock trucks. The Red body paint looks good. Your correct about the style of the time, and I didn't have the money to try and find a used fender and I still would have had to fill the holes in the side of the bed. I think this type of mount would work best for a truck that saw a lot of use in muddy terrain where you wouldn't want to lay in the mud to get the spare out from under the bed. In my case I did get a real nice dark Metallic Green paint job with a work trade out with a body shop. The color was supposed to be a Thunderbird color. I painted the wheels in a Hammer Tone Silver which was a style often found on Winston West Cars. Big and little red line tires and a spare done to match. Pep Boys Baby Moon hub caps. Turned out pretty nice for a budget work truck.

Beautiful looking builds. I would love to have the C10 in my driveway. The '32 is a standout. Enjoyed watching your work on the '65 Impala.

One nice thing about having to wear a mask in public is when you have to use the public restrooms. Aren't they supposed to have exhaust fans?

Don't know for sure but the single exhaust would have been standard on this model. The driver's side would cross under the engine and join the down pipe on the passenger side going to the muffler. Does this look like a possibility?

I used to see her early on in her career on TV when I lived in Southern California. She was a very talented singer as well. Her ability to deliver "dry humor" lines with perfect timing was one of her many talents.
