    12 for 21

Beautiful looking builds. Nice clean looking build style.
  2. I like your seat material idea. Chassis looks like an old rusty nail.
  3. The Dusk Plum and White looks good on your Nomad as well.
  4. This and many other kits seem to have a really tight fit between the bodies and the chassis and interior. There is always the fear that something will get damaged trying to edge the chassis into the body or even damage the paint finish. I have found that one way around this is to use wooden toothpicks and slim coffee stirrers used as a pry bar between the body and the chassis plate. The soft wood tends to not damage the finish on either part and will give you a little leverage to spread the body for the chassis to slid in to place. I'm sure there are many other ways to do this, but this is something I have done in the past.
  5. All very clean looking. I like your build style and variety.
  6. Great looking builds. I like how you did the haulers as well.
  7. Beautiful looking paint work on the body as well as the interior. The colors you picked were a popular combination when this and the '59 came out. A friend of mine had this same 1:1 model in silver with white trim and red interior when it was just a late model car.

    My 15 for 2021

Beautiful paint work and all are very cleanly detailed.
  9. Beautiful looking finishes. I like how you added modern roofs to the older bodies. I remember some of these builds, and congratulations of having your Caddy put in print. That one looks very natural as if GM did it.
  10. I also like the colors, and I'll tell you why. My father had a '56 Chevrolet, not a Nomad unfortunately, it was a 210 four door and it was a two-tone Nassau Blue and White. The shade of blue you have here looks in the pictures just like the blue on that car.
  11. Tire melt and even stains on painted display shelves. These have been a problem for as long as I can remember. Model companies have adjusted the compounds from which the kits tires are made thru the years. While there have been improvements the problem still exists. I don't know if I have an answer and it would seem no one else does either. I would offer a suggestion that may work and would be interested in anyone else's opinion as well. I recall years ago when AMT offered wrinkle wall style drag slicks as an option in some kits. These were done in the same white plastic as the kit. The builder would paint them whatever shade of flat black that looked correct to them and you could even scrape the paint off of the raised lettering on the tire if you wanted. My thought is why couldn't that be done for all tires in todays kits ? This may or may not even cost less to the manufacture than the tire formulas used today. They could be cast in a manor to reflect a small flat spot on the bottom of the tire where it makes contact with the shelf or ground or whatever. We see plastic inserts for white wall tires now, we could have redlines for an option or paint them black. Does this make sense to anyone else ?
  12. My sympathies To Turner and you and your wife. Very hard to see such a loved one suffer and you're unable to do much more than care and comfort them.
  13. I like the clean crisp look of the body color. Amazing Pro Street conversion. The chassis detailing matches the clean look of the body and paint.
  14. Another one to consider if you're doing a big block Chevrolet is AMT '69 and '70 Chevrolet Impala kits.
  15. There used to be a Die Cast Roll Back style truck with a cab that looked like a prewar COE. Maybe a scratch built two car flatbed trailer with a fifth wheel goose neck on a '34 or '37 Ford pickup with a flatbed instead of a pickup bed.
  16. We have been unseasonably warm and dry this year. Last night we got our first rain in over 45 days and the weather guy on TV is promising snow by New Years.
  17. Great that the new company wants you as part of their work force.
  18. Great looking finishes on all of these.
  19. I like the creativity of these builds.
  20. I like the car hauler and I remember your build on the Suburban & Boat build. Like you I'm trying to get the work bench whipped into shape after a move as well.
  21. Great looking build.
  22. Great color and paint finish for this build. Always liked the Pontiac Hood Tach option.
  23. I like the changes to the shape of the roof. I'm not an expert on these cars but something about the roof shape just never looked right to me. What roof are you using?? Shorter stacks on the injectors may work depending on how they look to you.
  24. I like the finish on the body. A warmed-over Flathead is always appreciated here.
  25. I like the roof rack. I don't think that's in the kit.
