  1. The one that really stands out to me is the Manero Ute.
  2. Anyone else remember the Mustang II, come guessed up Pinto? The name a manufacture uses on a new product has a lot to do with the initial perception of the new product. That is why they will use a known and well-respected product name to introduce a new and unknown product. People will still buy the product if they like or feel as if they need the product. The products performance in supplying the consumers' needs is what can hurt a product name.
  3. Sometimes it is better to just give the entire body one light even coat of paint. You're working with a color that has a lot of metallic in the finish and depending on how much the can is shaken and maybe even heated a little it just doesn't always lay down the same. After color sanding the body as smooth as you can I would give it another color coat to cover all of the body and hood at once.
  4. Sorry Riley, we had 70 degrees here. That wasn't expected either. Snow is always pretty to look at and fun to play in, for a while. Then it's trying to get thru it to get to work or wherever else you need to go that kind of kills the fun factor. Watch out for the drivers that think they know how to drive in it.
  5. Thank you for thew information on this kit. As you pointed out the effort by Moebius to get everything right shows their commitment to their product.
  6. Very well built. The wheel flares look just like the addons I remember the Mini Truck Guys using back in the day. I had never considered building one of these until I saw this. With the options you mentioned from the kit this is something that you could really build in any fashion you want.
  7. Very interesting matchup of body parts. Could be on its way to becoming a Kustom pickup or someone putting together what they had in the yard to make a good work truck. Either way I like it and the way you blended the two bodies together.
  8. Beautiful looking paint and clean body trim. I like the contrasting interior color.
  9. Beautiful looking paint finish and cleanly detailed trim. This is a very sleek looking Ford.
  10. To eco Bills72sj's advice, I think many have sort of "hit the wall" on a build and start getting discouraged. I have often put a partially done model back in the box and went on to a different project. Sometimes you will figure out in your mind how to complete something that has stopped you, or it can always be a good parts source as well.
  11. Nice bright Yellow color. What brand of paint did you use that it wouldn't dry?
  12. I like the way this Audi looks. I will keep an eye on this build.
  13. I had not seen the Chevrolet Christmas commercial until last night while watching a Football Game. What stood out to me about the car they used was that it is a 1966 model Impala Super Sport since I had owned the hardtop version of this car. The color in the commercial looks like what they called Marina Blue at that time, and you seem to have gotten that color just right.
  14. I understand your attraction to the '57 Bel Air. You should build a model of your dream car along with the others that you like. That is one of the beautiful things about our hobby. You can create whatever you want or even whatever you once owned.
  15. Hilarious final race. Still amazed at the dialog they put together. I wonder who all was involved in the landscaping background, but I think they did an amazing job.
  16. Glad to hear you're getting your health back. This had to be some scary times. By the way this is a great looking Black Widow Chevy.
  17. Sorry to hear of your problems with the shocks. Maybe after Christmas and New Years is in the rearview mirror your nerves will settle down and you will be able to deal with the suspension. I like the shiny finish but that's just how I prefer the finish. Maybe a light coat of semi-gloss would give you the finish you're after.
  18. Great looking color on this and it shows the body lines well.
  19. What a great present idea. I like the way you did the dirt from off roading Very realistic looking.

    Subaru Brat

Looks great. I always thought this was an interesting car.
  21. They are both beautifully done. Perfect color choice as these colors seem to best represent the subjects when they were built.
  22. Great looking builds. I was going to say that I liked the roadster pick up the best until I saw the Comet Ranchero.

    30 model A #2

    Great looking coupes.
  24. Great looking paint and nice interior complimenting colors. I like this style of build.
  25. I really like the As Raced style on the GT40. I understand what you're going thru having moved myself this year. I'm still unpacking and have a major triage operation going on my old builds.
