  1. I have a way of describing what should happen to people that mess with wild animals in their habitat. I call it the cleansing of the gene pool. A complete lack of common sense.
  2. Some people just don't understand who dumb they really are.
  3. Great looking little pickup. I like the effect you used on the red paint to give it the faded look on the body edges. Nice dirty looking windshield. From the little I know of the home market I don't think they would allow something like this to be on the streets, but then I may b e wrong on that. Either way the finish is very realistic looking.

Great looking beater. Glad to see the slant 6 in place.
  5. I like the tail lights. Sort of the same general overall look of the OEM's but larger.
  6. I like the '60 Catalina two door post. I just have a thing for that body style from most any manufacture. I like the Hardtops as much as anyone else, but these for some reason just hit my hot button.
  7. No N o No. "It will never heal"
  8. Beautiful looking build. Great paint finish and the color goes well with the interior, Very impressive engine detailing.
  9. First off, great memories with the kids for you and them. Car is looking good as is with the new hub caps. Your thoughts about lowering the car are good but remember to leave enough room for the front tires to clear the wheel well openings when turning or going in and out of drive ways. The sidewall profile looks pretty tall. Are these the 16" wheels and what size are they ? A tire and or wheel combination with a lower profile might also help lower the look of the car. Even with the stock 16" wheels there are many passenger car radial tires sizes that would fit the stock rims but be a much lower sidewall profile. A pretty standard 225/60x16 size may even fit those wheels and give you better handling of a radial tire and a smaller outside diameter that may get you a couple of inches closer to the ground and still not look like you're running rubber bands for tires. This is a very clean looking machine.
  10. Being in an apartment it's hard to know what other areas are running off of the same breaker. I wouldn't think they would have tow different apartments running of of one, but you just don't know. In my limited experience as a home owner who had a new electric double oven with convection bake feature installed only to find that the convection feature pulled a lot more electricity that what the system was designed for. The convection bake feature never worked up to expectations and the breaker had to be reset sometimes. Perhaps something else has been added on the same cercut and that is setting off the breaker. I don't mess with electricity and try to leave that to others who know what they're doing.
  11. I don't recall ever seeing a Mustang that color either, hard to understand why.
  12. That is sort of the setup I ended up with on my little '51. I didn't have a Mercury Crank but Evens Heads and Manifold. I also at one time had a '34 Ford pickup with a little over a foot cut off of the end of the bed. The engine was a '53 Ford with the same setup on it with the stock Trans, and Rear End. They weren't the fastest but they were the most fun to play with.
  13. Did the electrician also check the gauge of the wiring ? The size of the breaker will determine the amount of electricity flow but the wiring may not be of a proper gauge to support the requirements of the appliance. Replacing the breaker with a higher one but with wiring not able to carry that amount could overheat and then you would have even bigger problems.
  14. And to think, when I was a young man the joke was to marry a girl whos father owned a liquor store. My how our priorities change with time.

I love it. Perfect color for an early cruiser like this, As a young man I had a '51 tudoor sedan with the same color and stance thanks to the guy at the muffler shop who put the glass packs and duels on it. He lightly passed the torch around the bottom of the front springs until the factory bump stops just cleared the lower A arms. I also like the hub caps and wide whites.
  16. Beautiful looking body work. What was your source for the delivery portion of the body.
  17. Your changes to the wheels and tires go a long way to look like the more standard Firebird.
  18. That's a very deep dark Blue color, I don't think you're going to need much polishing at all.
  19. Great idea for the chassis. The "Box Top" body style looks kind of different only because of the fuss over the "Fastback" style. They both look great.
  20. Did you notice the engineering on the rear shackles ? That would be scary driving in the pits let alone at speed.
  21. Wally World around here still isn't carrying models. May have to move ?
  22. Thinking about the 2 x 2 setup you mentioned, I saw a picture on one of the car shows on the net yesterday. I think it was the Viva Los Vegas Rockabilly show. They had a walk by on all the lines of cars and there was a flathead 6 with a finned aluminum high compression head and two twos. Not sure if anyone offeres a cam for this engine but that and some bigger pistons could make this real interesting. Anyone can drop a sbc in something but making something out of what you got has it's own rewards.
  23. Great looking build and the paint turned out nice and smooth looking.
  24. Thank you for the link, sort of confirmed my fears. Thank Rob, I guess I'll be looking for the Grand Prix kit to build the 2+2 that I have in mind.
  25. I have noticed some new TV ads for Air B&B and one in particular seems very funny to me. A family sets out for a get away and they load their cat into one of those cat carriers and the camera focuses on the cat and what the cats view would be from inside the carrier, We all know how well cats like to ride in cars, thus the carrier in order to protect you from the cat jumping all over inside the car when you're driving. As they arrive at the intended cabin in a rural setting the cat sees a glance of the cabin and it is a view that could almost look like someone with a chain saw might be along the path they are walking along. They arrive safely and it's very cozy inside and there is even a note and a small dish of Cat Kip waiting for them. Next scene the cat is flat on it's back spread eagle in the middle the floor not moving. The dialog is talking about the great personal experience staying at an Air B&B.
