  1. Truly amazing build. The stapler body makes a perfect enclosed trailer just the right size for the bikes. I like the finish on the truck & trailer and the trailers interior looks great. Nice diamond plate ramp and trailer threshold.
  2. Great looking finish technique, thank you for sharing.
  3. Some interesting engine suggestion and since you're wanting to stay with the kits stock in line six I have a suggestion there. You could take some very small strips of plastic and glue them the length of the head to represent a fined aluminum head. The intake could be reshaped with a mounting for two or even three carbs. You could make an exhaust header in much the same way. Who knows this little Plymouth might be able to keep up with the Ford flatheads running around at that time.
  4. Great looking build and I like how you kept it pretty true to what you started with.
  5. I enjoyed watching how you put this together. Beautiful finishes. Never understood why Revell or AMT never offered a kit just like this.
  6. Beautiful looking finishes. I like these without the hood scopes
  7. Great looking build. The front end on this kit can be a bear to get together. I like that you used the optional engine. The detailing of the underside looks very realistic right down to the leaky oil drain plug.
  8. Great idea to get the look of the body being channeled by moving the fenders up on the body sides. Much more pleasing to the eye this way.
  9. You might try a very short dip in the purple pond. I did this to remove a sort of white film on a set and it worked without damaging the tire.
  10. That's the one I was thinking of. The wagon is a curbside as I recall but the body trim detailing was great.
  11. I would check with who ever is judging the show you're thinking of entering since the details of what they will or will not allow can vary.
  12. Maybe, I have not had one of those to know. I think at that time in the '60's AMT or one of it's owners would use MPC molds.
  13. I'll be picking up a couple of these for the Dune Buggy alone.
  14. That looks like the old "U-Haul" trailer that AMT also offered in the Buick Special wagon kit with some hand tools and an old swing set with a chain fall for pulling engines. How many here have ruined a swing set doing that ? I think that kit also included a Chrysler Hemi engine as well.
  15. Beautiful looking Dodge. You were lucky to find that nice of a starting point. The rear wheel well openings must have been a challenge with that glue damage.
  16. Great looking body work on this conversion. Very clean trim details. Always fun to build a model of a car or truck from the past that meant so much to you.
  17. The color reminds me of the popular Ford Poppy Red. Great looking interior, almost to nice for going off road. Cleanly detailed body trim and wheels.
  18. O ya. When my wife and I got together we lived in the Sacramento area circa '85 thru '96. We floated the American a few times. Always had a spare tube to put the cooler in and tether to the raft. Great way to spend an afternoon. Never this crowded back then.
  19. Ya, what's with the strange guy in the red outfit ?
  20. We got Sod. We moved into a new Villa since we downsized from the old house. Builders in our area are running behind on getting yards in since they're build new homes as fast as they can and can't get enough employees to finish everything. Toke the crew all day in 90 degree heat to lay the Sod here and for the Villa next door. We have been looking at weeds and dirt for over a month so we're happy campers now.
  21. Great looking F-1 and it sure looks like the one they had in the lead in to the program.
  22. Beautiful looking little wagon. I like your photography, like looking at a 1:1 car in the driveway.
  23. Would be nice if someone could save the Imperial before someone makes a Rat Rod out of it or worse a Destruction Derby Car.
  24. This should be an interesting build. I'm sure your vision for this has changed some in the past decades. I'm glad to see I'm not the only pack rat when it comes to models and left over parts.
