Isn't shopping on the internet grand ? Before I'd spend that kind of money for any kit I would want to touch it, count all the parts to make sure it's complete. Sorry to hear about your bad luck, I wonder who the other bidder was ?

Beautiful paint work. I like the changes to the Hood and the rest of the front end. The interior changes really look good.

Got mine yesterday at Hobby Haven in Overland Park Ks. So many great looking builds. The dark pictures mentioned by others may have been the photographer trying to compliment the finished model with a dark background. The problem I think may be from not enough lite on the subject.

I haven't tried "make it suede" yet but I'll keep that in mind. Another great paint to use is Model Master Fabric colors. I have used their #28136 Tan and #28135 Gray. Both are a Lacquer base, just a word of caution they are somewhat "Hot".

Beautiful looking Camaro. I wouldn't normally care for the Gold Wheel treatment, but it is perfect with the models color scheme. I like the deep set wheels and rubber band tires. The body trim looks great also. The head light doors especially.

This paint product also works well when creating a Vinyl Roof for a model. I'll use a light coat of flat clear dusted over it as a final coat and this will knock down most of any gloss in the finish.

That Dodge pickup parked in front of the posters for "Tell me a story" seems fitting. I wager that old truck could tell a few.

oldnslow is correct about the engine. Buicks had a very distinct cover for the spark plugs and wires. The "three stacks" look like an old 3-2's setup. The manifold looks like an art's creation of a "high rise" type manifold.

Welcome to the Forum. I also like the Minilite wheels that used to be so popular during the late '60's in SCCA Trans Am racing. While I can't find them now, I have picked up the AMT '70 or '71 Mustang kits. These had some very nice wheels and are supposed to be 15" wheels but look more like 14". 64SS350 mentioned the newer Camaro kit and that might be easier to find at this time. As for Fireball Motorworks parts, these are going to be about the best you can find.

Fortunately that is a style that I think has past. I think in an effort to get a car as low as they can the small diameter tires became popular. Having wheels and tires extending beyond the body was another fad that was very damaging to suspension parts including Wheel Bearings. Many different styling trends come and go and can even be different in one location too another.

Tow unique looking builds. Where did the Suburban body come from ? I like how you did the bed and extended cab on the hauler. Great job making it look like a 1 toner.

Everyone seems to be in such a hurry to get no where. I'm no slow poke out on the road and usually add at least 5 mph to the speed limit as an average. I don't sit in the fast lane either, yet people will run up on me even though the fast lane is open. They'll tailgate for a while. They are so close that all I can only see the bottom edge of their windshield and above. Then they'll go by me in the fast lane and then slow down to my speed just past my front bumper in that lane and just sit there.

Period perfect look. I like the old Ansen Sprints wheels. I always thought this kit was a long wheel base for some reason. The paint really looks good considering what you had to work with. The front roll pan works well with the black out grill. I like the Step Side body style.

Great looking Street Machine. I like the stance. I was embarrassed badly by one of these 1:1 Red White and Blue 390 4-speeds back in the day.

Great looking build. I like the paint finish and the color. The body trim is very cleanly done as well. I always liked the look of this 1:1 car with the fastback body style I just don't remember seeing all that many on the street at that time since most were either hardtops or sedans. Thar Mustang Hood Scoop became very popular on many non Ford products also.

I like how you represented the seat inserts. Was this a Decal or some paint treatment ? This really adds to the appearance and makes the insert look like a cloth of some type.

There was a Low Ridder issue of this kit with Hydraulic Suspension components four the four corners of the Suspension. They offered stock ride height and also lowered or raised settings. From your picture I think you have the ride height figured out. Wheels are always a very personal thing, but many of the earlier Low Ridders used the Astro Supremes and the later builds seem to trend to the Chrome Wire Wheel style. There're a lot of Low Ridder Magazines on the magazine racks and they may give you some additional ideas as well as the current trends since this is an ever changing style.

I'm not a Tuner Builder so most of these I found it hard to relate to. That said I also saw some interesting wheels that could be used on some Customs or Street Rod type builds.

Great idea, I just hope no real '57 Nomads were injured here. The rear portion of the roof,rear window and the bed all look much like a '64 thru '67 El Camino. The tail gate sure looks like a '57 Nomad. Either way this could be a fun build in 1/24th.

Depending on the appearance you're after, I think dmthamade's suggestion may be the best. The Tamiya Panel Line Accent colors make a better line accent then using say just a black color. An example would be say a white model the black line accent is a little to dark, their gray would be more realistic. You wouldn't necessarily want the panel opening glossy either. Just look at your own car in the daylight and I think you'll see what I mean. You could even combine a small amount of the body color and flat black and thin it with some paint thinner. This might even be closer to what the real vehicle might look like. As always, play with plastic picnic spoons to create the look you're after.

The body styling reminds me of when I was in grade school and used to fold papers from my note book to make planes to toss, until the teacher would suggest I go visit the Principal again. It is different I'll give them that.

Good start. I'm finally getting back into the same kit. I like it better now than when it originally was released.
