  1. I do not intend to waste my money.
  2. I have used a product called Gallery Glass that I got at Michael's. This was suggested by someone on the Forum and has worked well. For Headlights I still prefer just good old Future as it will usually flow behind the Lens and show the detailing in the Headlight bucket.
  3. Great looking Wreaker, especially the Boom.
  4. The reason I thought the body style was unusual was that it was a two door hardtop, and they usually used four door body styles regardless of model line. Not always, but normally Chevrolet would color the engine displacement in red for the 427 and black for the 396. Either would be a good Pursuit vehicle.
  5. I like how they have cast the correct rear Window opening and the top material between the bottom of the rear Window and the body.
  6. Great looking build. You detailed the trim perfectly. I remember seeing R/T's in this shade of Gold at that time.
  7. Beautiful, and thank you for the Flash Back I got from looking at this. I followed your build and really liked how you did the interior. The Hub Caps and the red plastic Fuel Lines really put it in the proper time line.
  8. Beautiful looking build. I have always liked the Formula Hood better than The Trans Am Hoods. I didn't notice the Stripes in your photos.
  9. After 22 years you haven't missed a beat when it comes to building. Great fit and finish thru out. The afore mentioned Tach would be mounted too the left of the Dash, and it looks like that's what you did here, and easier to read than the '66 models that were mounted to the right of the Steering Colum and low on the Dash. The Floor Console would contain a Clock, with a Bench Seat they would mount a small Clock on the top center of the Dash.
  10. Turned out great. AMT was trying to get as many features as they could at that time in their models. Those doors will give you fits. Foiling a '58 Impala is a big challenge but I think you did a great job here. Look forward to your next build.
  11. I tried your suggestion of squinting, found that it worked best if I just closed my eyes altogether.
  12. Just think of all the YouTube videos that will be up next week.
  13. That's one way to get ride of a perfectly good Camper Shell.
  14. Unusual to see an Impala Hardtop as a Service Car and it looks as if it has the extra cost Lighting Group also. Note the white lens on the leading edge of the front fenders. This was an extra cost option, but may have been part of some Police Car Option were they could mount additional flashing lights. Thank you for sharing the photo.
  15. Your paint job looks great. Which trunk lid are you going to use?
  16. It never ceases to amaze me how some designers will put so much time and effort into designing a car and you end up with these.
  17. Very cleanly built. Great paint detailing on the chassis and interior. The color combination looks great.
  18. Service Vehicle builders should rejoice.
  19. The pictures of the body and trim on the test shot look perfect. Any idea about Who or When this will be offered ?
  20. I would jump on one of the Hyper Pak engines if I could get a nice Valiant (Plymouth) or Lancer (Dodge) two door kits.
  21. Depending on what car you are trying to convert to a coupe, they roof line is usually different between a hardtop and a coupe. I have seen a few Resin Casters that have done the conversion by adding a B pillar. The only problem is it looks like they just added a B pillar and didn't change the roof line. A good example is the current Revell '57 Ford coupe and the AMT '57 Ford Hardtop. I used the roof from the AMT to convert a Revell kit into a low line hardtop. The coupe roof from the Revell kit could be used on just about any Ford model from '55 thru '59. The same could be done with the roof from the Revell '56 or '57 Chevrolet model. But the only thing you might do there is make a nicer Revell '55 coupe from their Hardtop kit.

    '63 Vette

Kind of a Klunky kit by todays standards but when detailed like this it looks quite nice. Clean well built model.
  23. I like how you went with the more realistic Injected Hemi instead of the twin Blowers from the kit. Did the Studebaker logo come from the Avanti kit ? This is what happened to a lot of Starlite coupes back in the day since they were so aerodynamic even before you chopped the top. Great looking build and represents what so many of the Salt Flat cars looked like .
  24. Great save on the body. I also remember when guys were cutting up the 1:1 Buses but few seemed this short.
  25. You have a good mix of body parts. I think the Roof from the Buick is what gives this model a unique look. Very nice and a perfect choice of wheels for this Cruiser.
