Very nice restoration. The paint job really is outstanding and I like how you kept the stock appearance. Always liked the look of the Pontiac 8 lug wheel & brake combination.

While not something I would try on any of my builds, I still really like the Frame and Gears treatment here.

From the height that that worker would have fallen from it would be a wonder if he survived. He would have been almost two stories high and falling among concrete rubble, would be hard to not be killed.

I have a very similar Paint Booth that I purchased a few years ago. I just double checked and I can't find anything that shows what company offered it. There is a model # 11S-E420 listed on the back but I don't think that would be enough to identify the manufacture. The unit you have ordered has some very desirable additional features. I work in a corner of my basement that is dedicated to mowers and yard tools and such. The lighting for the subject that you're spraying would be a very big bonus. My only suggestion would be very obvious, the exhaust vent. In my case they offered an extra cost kit with a longer exhaust tubing. You really wouldn't want to mount the exhaust as pictured, fumes and all. I went to Home Depot and they offer flexible exhaust tubing that is designed for hot water heaters in several different diameters for a fraction of what the manufacture wanted. From a safety stand point I think you are wiser to use an exhaust fan that is designed for this use. Mine has served me well and I think with the lighting feature you will have an even better unit to work with.

Interesting color combination. Nice finish and I like the Drag Racing theme.

Another nice post war Ford. I know a butchered Ford bothers you but this turned out very nice. It must be nice to have a Lady trying to win you favor with a model once in a while.

You might try a Motolow pen for the trim.

I enjoy looking at all of these older cars. They bring back great memories beyond the movies. It may have been a car your parents had or a neighbor, or maybe something you once owned. Sometimes they just bring back pleasant memories from a time gone by.

Ah man I was raised on that stuff. Add a can of Cambells Cream of Chicken soap and you had a great dinner.

Very creative. Excellent paint finish. This looks like something from the '50's Salt Flat era.

What a great looking Convertible. You're right about the color, it looks great and has a very smooth finish. I have had one of these kits looking out at me from the "TO Do" pile beside my desk and a sort of shared your idea of the type of build.

Great looking Kustom from the "Angel Hair" era. Your interior looks perfect. I like how you included the Plexiglas Roof insert. While the Grill Shell looks heavy to my eye, that is the way it was done and you created the perfect look to go with your build. Very nice paint job.

Great pictures. I was not a regular viewer, but it seemed to me that Andy always drove a Ford of some type. When I saw the picture of the '66 Squad car I was pleasantly surprised. The Edsel Convertible was different, but then that was a Ford product and I think the show and or studio had some sort of product placement agreement with Ford. The black '57 Ford Fairlane 500 was special also. Thank you for the link.

Porsche 356 for under $6K
espo replied to Richard Bartrop's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Does it have a Vin # and matching Title ?? $6k seems a little over optimistic to me but there're people who would take it on. -
Most Used Paint Color?
espo replied to martinfan5's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
The last year or so it seems that I have used an inordinate amount for Bronze to Orange colors with lots of Metallic. Trying hard to break the cycle since my display shelf looks like everything is the same color. -
Amazing what a little financial recognition can do. I'm not familiar with the Primewell tire brand, but I think your problems may be in the preparation of your wheels when they were mounted. The surface of the wheel bead needs to be cleaned as often the previously mounted tires will sometimes leave behind residue that can create a very slow leak. As the tire slowly deflates it tends to reduce the seal pressure between the tire and the rim. You are experiencing some pretty bad winter weather and the cold ambient temperature also lowers the tire pressure. I have know idea how often you or someone else checks your tire pressure, but it is possible that the combination of low tire pressure and then a drop in temperature could cause the lose the seal. Another reason to monitor your tire pressure year round is that if a tire is driven on with low pressure it can generate a lot of heat and sidewall flex to the point that the tire can actually come apart. If you haven't already I would have who ever services this tire go ahead and dismount it from the rim and check the condition of the mounting surfaces on both the rim and the tire.

A great looking build without going overboard with add on detailing. I like the premise of the Carrera Panamericana.

Very nice looking build, any additional photos ? My '66 Impala SS was Danube Blue with Black interior.

The body looks like a very good starting point. -
I guess the results speak for them selves. The Flame Out would make a good parts donor for me.

It would seem that the FDT's late design change had a very detrimental effect on the basic design and with the project already over budget and over due. They were forced to go forward without the proper engineering needed to compensate for the design change. Who will they blame ? You can be sure that the FDT will be held blameless when the dust settles.

Going to put down the Pre Emergent for the grass today and get some Mulch this weekend. Sorry about your luck.

So typical of business today. The people that work hard at doing the day to day things that keep a business going get nothing. The people responsible for putting the business in the ditch get a bonus. I just don't understand this. Maybe we should given the company a bigger tax break.

Thank you all for looking. The thing I enjoyed most was changing the "Barn Doors" to a "Tailgate" type arrangement.

I like how you have a hint of primer showing thru the Yellow paint.
