  1. As Tim has pointed out there are many alterations to the body of the Foose truck. The biggest challenge from my point of view would be the roof section. I say this because of the extensive work done just in front of the windshield. This area had major surgery done. Could it be restored to something close to a factory body ?? This is beyond my skill set. I'm sure there are many here capable of doing this, but it would be hard. As for putting the Foose roof on the '53 AMT Ford, that's a start but you still have the issues of the '53 body. The body almost looks to tall and the hood and grill area has never looked correct to me. I for one would love to have a bone stock '56 Ford with the Big rear Window kitted. I have owned two different '56 Fords thru the years, one a standard small window and the other had the big window. So if Revell or Moebius would kit a stock '56 Big Window I think they would have a winner on their hands.
  2. Really nice looking hauler. I don't remember ever seeing that kit before.
  3. I look forward to this. The Hull is shaped like a Tug Boat but It will still be interesting to revisit this kit.
  4. There seems to be a lot of confusion about the Foose Truck. I think it would be best to do a little research on the 1:1 to see all of the changes that his father directed to be done. Even people that seem to know something about the truck are confused about what all was really done. It would take a great deal of work to return this to an exact stock '56 pick-up. Why not just enjoy it for what it is, and if you would rather than just use the parts you like and through the rest in the parts box for the future.
  5. Great save. The wheels remind me of the engines Rotor. Ya it needs to be a little lower, but it looks good.
  6. Outstanding detail work. That really does look delicate.
  7. I moved to the KC Metro area in '96 and I think the first show I attended was in '98 or '99 when the show was in down town KCK. I have been to every one of the shows since except for last year. Jeep Jamboree was on the same weekend. Same problem this year but the Model Show won out.
  8. Even Castro Super Clean can effect some resins. I lost one that way.
  9. Do you have all of the broken pieces ?? If you have the piece broken out of the rear deck it could be glued back in place and then a little body filler and it should be good. After that strip the paint and you're ready to start over.
  10. List what you need in the Wanted section on the forum. Someone is going to have what you need, and that Buick is going to need a lot of love.
  11. I hope someone remembers their camera.
  12. I'll I'll be there. I have one table and ten models to show.
  13. Besides "pinning" the door handles you can use Future for an adhesive. Even if a little gets on the paint it will be perfectly clear.
  14. I'm still going to buy a couple of these kits when I can. #1 It is a great subject. #2 Look at all the goodies if you don't like the body or frame, which you can just forward to me for proper disposal.
  15. Another beautiful save.
  16. Man !, your black paint jobs always look so shinny.
  17. Great paint. Always thought the MoPar air cleaners looked good, glad you staid with the stock color on those.
  18. Great idea. I have often thought of something like this just never got around to it. This proves its doable and looks great.
  19. Very nicely designed. Looks like some of the trailers I remember seeing on the road years ago.
  20. I rode bikes as a young man, mostly dirt though, and never at speeds like this. Watching the video gives me "tunnel vision" and the corners jacks with my equilibrium. Then the rider looks at the guy passing him. Makes you wonder who didn't drink enough energy drink this morning.
  21. You're correct about the color range. They have about everything you could want. Do you know if the paint is compatible with our Plastics ??
  22. This reminds me of why I limit myself to just a max of two projects at once. I used to have four or five and I would just loose my way as to what I was doing bouncing from one to the other. I'm putting the finishing touches on a build for the Hartland Model Car contest this weekend. I have been building one of the Hemi-Hydro kits I bought several years ago, for a tow vehicle I have modified a '66 Chevelle wagon. So I have a modified ski boat and trailer and the wagon all going at once. I'm again convinced that I should just do one at a time in the future.
  23. Nice to see that you're back after this one. The picture of the tailgate looks as though you were able to completely remove the tailgate moldings without any shadows.
  24. The custom grill looks great.
  25. I agree the flat hood does look better. I like so many others have used Hart Parts and I'm completely satisfied.
