  1. Beautiful builds. I really like the Mustang and the Race Team.
  2. I was ordering the inventory for the Chevrolet dealer I was working for at that time. We never stocked the Scooter, but as I recall the back seat was an option as was the radio, right side visor, and the glove box door. They flooring was a black rubber mat not even as nice as what they used in the base pick ups. I also think that it was offered in just two colors, white and a beige. The interior was a slightly darker shade of tan and was all vinyl. Mark is correct about the flat silver painted bumpers and grill. The Scooter emblems were stickers and not any type of molding. Might make a great pizza delivery vehicle. Not even tinted glass.
  3. Excellent restoration.
  4. Great looking build, I like the lace roof paint.
  5. Saw this episode several years ago. He was redoing the Europa for a friend who didn't have the time or the money at the same time. We've all been there , the only problem is that we aren't Chip's buddy. He did a great job as always.
  6. After thinking about it I may get burned for not being PC. I wasn't really trying to be a smart *** about it, it just came out.
  7. Beautiful build of a much under appreciated car.
  8. Beautiful Nova. I wouldn't worry about the paint it looks perfect. I like the way you put just a little road grime under the hood and on the chassis.
  9. This blob on the frame is still confusing. This seems to be on the body side of a frame cross member on the drivers side, this is why I thought it may be a body mount of some sort. The suggested water and electrical line going under the passenger side very well could be a heater. Some post WWll GM cars that I have owned had the heater under the passenger seat and a separate heater core under the dash for the defrosters, let me tell you they worked great. I just purchased the '47 coupe and the instructions show the interior floor boards attaching to the cross member and the floor boards in the kit have a mounting point molded into the bottom that would line up with the frame blob.
  10. For obvious safety reasons I also don't like a model that could roll away unattended. Now if you like to move the model around and make engine noises and screeching tire sounds that is up to you.

    My 2 for 2016

I enjoyed watching both of these builds. They both look perfect.
  12. I like all the body work on this. By combining all these different elements makes a very mean looking Mustang.
  13. Really neat looking truck, I like the tires in the bed, great touch.
  14. Each and every one is outstanding. The detailing on the Drag cars especially .
  15. Is the circular thing you mentioned possibly a body mount ? Does it line up with anything on the bottom of the floor of the body ? Other than that I'm with you, what is that ? The dash board looks amazing.
  16. I love the concept, that would really make it the "Ultimate Driving Machine" . Like the sleeper look of your build.
  17. Great looking race car.
  18. Great looking build. That style looks like it needs something a little more intimidating than a 312.
  19. Beautiful build, like the color combo, all business.
  20. I like that a lot. I'll have to get one of those bodies to use on the "62 Pontiacs I have stashed away.
  21. Your chop looks great. Shouldn't take to much to get everything lined up. The body looks almost like a station wagon (shooting brake?) . To bad about the chassis, but maybe you have something else that you can rob the chassis out of .
  22. Kind of like the old days when you built what you could with what you had or could scrounge. I see some others doing this and it looks interesting for sure. You mentioned the '40's time frame and that makes me think of the Race of Gentlemen that started there on the east coast. There has been a lot of coverage about it in the enthusiast magazines of late, and even the same organization just held an event at Pismo Beach Ca. and even the rain couldn't stop it. Just a thought if you are looking for any addition inspiration on your build. I'll enjoy watching your build.
  23. A very nice looking rust bucket. You mentioned the '37 hood on the '36 body and radiator shell. How hard was it to match up ?
  24. Might it not be easier to widen the '37 hood to meet the fire wall ? You might have to alter the hood side panels, but it just seems that all might be an easier way to get the two different bodies the meet.
  25. Love the chassis work.
