Beautiful builds and you have a wide building interest. The El Camino is special to since I have owned a couple 1:1's. The colors on the '32 and the Plymouth really wake you up when you first see them. The '64 Impala reminds me of a car one of my friends drove from back in the day. The big rigs are very impressive looking to say the least. Very productive year.

Retired early, I was 62, in 2005. My wife is younger than I and was a partner in her company and we thought we were in good shape with 401k's and money in the bank and the home almost paid for. Then "The great recession" changed a lot of that. Not crying the blues but things are not as planned now. I get to spend more time with my models, something that I hardly ever got to do much of when I was working. It is almost a full time job with the house upkeep both inside and the yard. I also take care of the mother-in-laws yard and home repairs. I think we will look for a smaller home a little further out of town next year so my wife can retire and we can live comfortably.

I really like the way you built your '66 Mustang. The Mustang GT should look great, unusual plastic color on this kit.

I have bought bodies from Steve when he comes to the Hartland Show at Overland Park Ks. in June every year. His display usually takes up an entire end of the swap meet area He's a great guy and is always helpful in getting you what you need.

Check with Pegasus wheels & tires. That would be a start but I'm sure that there are many others. Checkout the After Market section on this site, there are many very good suppliers there and you would be amazed at what you can find.

The beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I think that there may be more people that like the '65 GTO than don't. Those wheels would complement almost any vehicle, but then I am prejudice on the wheels and the GTO. Pegasus offers similar wheels, but are used with only very low profile tires. While have used them and really like how they look, they don't always work with say a '60s thru '70s type build. So to have something like this with say a 60 or 70 series aspect ratio tire would be great in my humble opinion

With the few that I have done, the caster usually will tell you what to use for a donor kit. They usually have modified a basic kit into a model that has not been kitted. The donor kit will give you an interior and chassis that can be easily modified to create what ever the resin caster is offering. The windows are almost always a problem if the kits "glass" is different. Some casters will include a formed windshield and or rear window. Many here have used various clear plastics with great success. I tend to use the plastic that dress shirt makers use to keep a shirt collars shape in packaging. The plastic is very thin with no distortion and easily bent to match the curvature of a window. Follow the instructions on cleaning the casting before an work begins. When sanding, and there will be some sanding, you might want to do this away from you building area, The resin dust can interfere with painting as you move thru the build. It is also a good idea to wear a small dust mask if you have any respiratory issues with dust, this stuff can be very irritating. It really doesn't take that much extra effort to use a casting and if someone has an offering that you like then you should do one and just see how much fun they can be. Hope this will help.

The others are correct about the engine design. The reason I mentioned the intake swap is because I used the Chrysler manifold for another project several years ago and I really didn't remember that the Chrysler engine was a Hemi, I'm not as knowledgeable as so many others on the Forum when it involves Chrysler products. I had used the intake and carbs. on a '58 Plymouth build years ago and it worked perfect in that application. I thought it might help you with what you were trying to accomplish.
