  1. You're absolutely correct . The plug wires and boots are way too small , just another of several things that are just "off" with these kits .
  2. Inspired by an old Tom Daniel sketch from '71 it was built by bashing a 'Cuda diecast body with a TD Boss Mustang Snap-Tite body , my first time using a diecast and it went fairly smoothly . Chassis/wheels & tires are from the Boss Mustang . I made my own decals and the paint is Tamiya Pure White cleared with TS-13 . Had fun building this one , thanks for looking ! This is what I started with . WIP thread at this link : https://car-toons.proboards.com/thread/1746/tom-daniel-snap-tite-snake More pics .
  3. Beautiful ! I agree that the understated look is much nicer than the '71 'cuda .
  4. Very very nicely done , love that blue !
  5. Boy that turned out super nice . . . love that red !
  6. Very nice !
  7. Great choice of parts to build a beautiful little coupe , very well done !
  8. Great weathering job ! I prefer new and shiny but I'd drive this one !
  9. Well done , that's one sharp Duster !
  10. Really like the look of the sedan over the hardtop , very nice conversion ! The wheels don't do much for me but that's just personal preference . . . beautiful looking Malibu !
  11. Big GTX fan here , love that color ! Great work Jim !
  12. Sharp looking Chevy with some great detailing !
  13. Hey guys , here are links to the "Car Model Dodge Contest" and to the "Dodge Fever II" build articles . https://public.fotki.com/TooOld/models/misc-/magazine-articles/car-model-dodge-contest/ https://public.fotki.com/TooOld/models/misc-/magazine-articles/dodge-fever-ii-wip-/
  14. According to the text the body was stock except for the rear wheel wells .
  15. Snake , don't know if you remember my Eliminator II build from last year . I used a stock Cyclone body on the MPC Cougar F/C chassis and merely moved the entire rear suspension/axle rearward to line up with the body . Very easy and no mods were required . But the MPC chassis is a Stage I and I believe the Polar Lights is the correct Stage II chassis .
  16. I was going to pick the 2C or the Dino coupe as my favorites but to be honest I really like them all ! I wouldn't mind seeing some individual photos of these posted . Still kicking myself for selling all of my slot cars a few years ago .
  17. Place the yellowed plastic in a clear glass jar full of Hydrogen Peroxide and set it in the sun , a few hours later the yellowing will be gone . The HO slot car guys restore their old Aurora bodies and windows this way . . . I've tried this and it DOES work .
  18. Beautifully done ! I had a couple cars set up just like this back the then , love the look !
  19. Now that's a real beauty ! Always like this body style . Great job !
