  1. Interesting concept and some great custom work and paint ! Well done !
  2. Nice save and great choice of colors !
  3. Thanks Roger ! It was originally painted '62 Fawn Mist but I wanted a little more green so I went with the '64 Surf Green which is the same as Chevy Meadow Green . Thanks for noticing the backing plates .
  4. Thanks very much everybody !
  5. Don't see these very often , very well done !
  6. Thanks a bunch guys ! This was a nice and easy one , really enjoyed building it .
  7. Yes they can ! Beautifully done !
  8. I picked up this JoHan promo a few months ago , it was in nice condition but had Pegasus Sovreigns on it . The plan was to replace them with stock wheels that I had , clean it up and put it on the shelf . Well I messed up cleaning it and ruined the factory paint . So the new plan was to leave the Sovreigns on it and repaint it with 1964 Buick Surf Green . I added the rub strips to the roof and fabbed a rack for a surfboard . Some BMF , mirrors , antenna , and a few decals finished it off . It may have been on my bench for three months but I estimate I only have around 20 hours in it , that's fast for me ! So here's my "Surfin' Special " ! This is the JoHan promo after some cleaning , you can see where I wore thru the factory paint . More photos !
  9. Nice work Jim ! I've got a couple of these JF resin kits but have never had the urge to build one , nice to see one finished .
  10. Excellent work , all of your research really paid off ! Very sharp looking car !

Very nicely done Tony ! I think painting it instead of leaving the yellow plastic is a huge improvement !
  12. Beautiful work , and I like the gold !
  13. Nice ! Really like that color !
  14. Thanks ! I've already got a 1/32 Duster body ready to go !
  15. These look so nice without all of the plastic add-ons that Pontiac did . Super nice work !
  16. Great color choices for the interior and paint , looks really sharp !
  17. Thanks much Mike ! I printed the decals with a 5 year old Canon inkjet printer . The secret to printing decals isn't the printer it's using a Vector program to create sharp clear artwork .
  18. Another beauty Roger ! Dang those wheels and tires look great on everything !
  19. You're absolutely correct . The plug wires and boots are way too small , just another of several things that are just "off" with these kits .
  20. Inspired by an old Tom Daniel sketch from '71 it was built by bashing a 'Cuda diecast body with a TD Boss Mustang Snap-Tite body , my first time using a diecast and it went fairly smoothly . Chassis/wheels & tires are from the Boss Mustang . I made my own decals and the paint is Tamiya Pure White cleared with TS-13 . Had fun building this one , thanks for looking ! This is what I started with . WIP thread at this link : https://car-toons.proboards.com/thread/1746/tom-daniel-snap-tite-snake More pics .
  21. Beautiful ! I agree that the understated look is much nicer than the '71 'cuda .
