  1. The extra detailing is outstanding , great work ! I had the pleasure of meeting Richie back in the early 80's . . . it was a shock when we lost him .
  2. Thanks very much Mark ! I had some self inflicted issues with the kit but overall it went together as expected . I never posted it in Randy's site , I thought it was shut down . . . do you have a link ?
  3. Well done Ray , that's one sharp looking Mustang ! Never would have known it was missing decals if you hadn't said anything . I always wanted to give this kit a try but haven't because I have no space for it !
  4. Well done ! I also enjoy these kits and they're a great break from the detail-detail-detail of our usual builds . By the way . . . what are those cobwebs made from ?
  5. Definitely not bad . . . I think it looks great ! Always liked the look of the Tri-Motor and your color combo really sets it apart from the all silver ones I've seen !
  6. Your paint looks good to me and some great progress with the interior ! I use sprue cutters the same way , saves me a trip to the garage to use a Dremel and it sure speeds things up ! When the job is finished nobody will ever know .
  7. Thanks much Tim ! Really looking forward to seeing what you do with this kit . Mine is finished and can be seen Under Glass . As for the tooling foil . . . it looks really good and I plan on buying some but for this build there was so little needed I didn't bother .
  8. Sharp looking GT350 ! That was a bold move painting white over black !
  9. Sharp looking little Corvette ! Where did you find the 1/32nd Kidney Beans ?
  10. Well done , that's a sharp looking race car !
  11. I agree "stop while you're ahead" and go to the clear , looks like you've got it this time !
  12. Beautiful job Randy , it looks really sharp in that yellow !
  13. Thanks Ray ! Well these definitely qualify , thanks ! I don't know about that but thanks much Rusty !
  14. Beautiful little Cobra with the top and shortened trunk , very nicely done !
  15. Ahhh that makes more sense .
  16. In '71 MPC did some weird things by adding oversize engines and wings to their models creating the weird "Mild & Wild" kits . . . even the little Zingers were not immune when their already oversized parts grew even larger creating "Super Zingers" . . . which was a strange name since the regular Zingers were already called Super Vette , Super Drag , etc . . . They're were two Super Zingers , the "Slightly Altered" Vette and the "Fired Up" A100 PIckup . Even though I enjoy building Car-Toons I never really cared for these kits but when I acquired them both a couple of years ago I decided to give them a go and built the Vette , ended up it wasn't too bad and looked really good in my Zinger collection . Now a year later I finally got around to building the A100 Pickup . . . Lots of extra do-dads on this one but again it doesn't look that bad when finished , guess it's kind of grown on me . It's built right out of the box except for my own decals and I swapped the kit emergency lamps for ones from the '68 Coronet Convertible . Definitely not for everybody but here's my "Fired Up" Super Zinger ! Here's my "Slightly Altered" Vette and "Fired Up" Pickup together .
  17. Great looking Charger Tim , the triple white with red stripes looks awesome ! Not normally a fan of the wheels but they look good on this one ! Three in one week ?!?!?!
  18. Another great looking full size , very nicely done !
  19. Well done Tim , beautiful colors ! These were such great looking cars !
  20. Nice ! I learned that lesson about using thinner instead of water too , even when brushing small parts the thinner makes a mess .
  21. The "No Spray" is actual paper not a decal film like we all have been using or years , that's why it's only available in matte white . It's much thicker , has no adhesive , can't be repositioned (it tears) , and setting solutions have no effect on it . You may as well just use regular copy paper .
  22. I used those disposable baking pans from the grocery store , I bought the cheaper ones not the heavy duty . Only issue is they all have patterns stamped into the bottoms so useable aluminum is limited .
  23. Thanks Donato !
