  1. What a fantastic idea, a French version of the American Teardrop Trailer/Caravan! Superb!
  2. Well done Tony, yes I polished my bodyshell when building mine, good idea!

    Hakosuka

Superb Luke, I follow most of this type of 1:1 builds in Japan.
  4. Superb afx, we still have these and MK1's rallying in the UK and Ireland in various rally series .
  5. Superb Paul. We still have some of these rallying on a regular basis here in the UK and Ireland.
  6. Again from good old ebay UK a used Monogram '29 Ford Roadster Pickup, just a few bits missing to make a whole one (a frontwheel & tyre) but two running board frames/two chassis/two bonnets/hoods etc, so plenty to build at least one and a half as soon as I find another front wheel & tyre!
  7. Can I find one in the UK yet?
  8. Someone tipped me off that a book was available on the art and design of Bill Campbell, the man who did the artwork for Hawk Weird-Oh Kits, that inspired the manufacturers to make those plastic kits................... It's £25.99 here in the UK and $39.99 in the USA. There are 700 illustrations in this book. Some are of kits that are made and some that were too complex to make but the artwork is in there too. Brilliant for those interested in Hawk kits. 192 pages all in colour.

    Hawk Wild Woodie

Thanks Dann, Bruce & Terry. As you can see I like these a lot, and I'm still looking for more!

    Hawk Wild Woodie

Thanks guys, I like these so much because we didn't get anything like this in the UK at the time, 60's-70's.

Right Tom, give me a shout if you still don't want them.

    Hawk Wild Woodie

Thanks guys. My best shot of the roof section is this..................
  13. Today my latest in this genre, a Hawk Wild Woodie which is identical to the Hawk Sandpiper and similar to the AMT Surf Woody..... With it's twin the Sandpiper......... And with the Surf Woody.....
  14. When we saw it on TV and in the press today, we thought it was just a promo joke! Well that's one we won't be buying here in the UK. Interesting to note though that he's hoping to build a very big factory in Germany, soon to produce his vehicles!
  15. Brilliant camper shell, I wish we saw these in the UK!
  16. I'm pleased that we live in the Midlands in the UK. Early this year we had just 2 and a half days of snow, I say that but just about 6-8 inches. Here in the UK if we get 6-12 inches anywhere in the whole of Great Britain, everything comes to a grinding halt! I'm glad we don't live in Canada where our eldest son lives as they can have 8 months of bad weather around -40c and just 4 months of Summer +40c. He has a big pick-up to get to his truck as he hauls from Calgary down into the USA most days, being out for 2-3 days at a time. All tyres with studs on that and on his Golf R, the second one of these he's had and his VW Tiguan also on studs. This was the extent of our snow in February this year, note my cabin, but didn't stop my modelmaking in there!
  17. Our one car, a 2013 Renault Captur Deisel Eco, 54mpg round town 63mpg on a long run. Fuel £1.36 a litre roughly x4 for gallons = £5.44.
  18. Thanks Larry.
  19. Cheers Ron. I love the light pods too, and they came with the kit!
  20. Bought as an 'already started, with the side and rear windows brush painted blue and broken in half down the middle of the rear screen and the front windscreen broken off! Perhaps the original owner saw tinted windows on the boxtop and thought that that was the way to do it! So after a bit of cleaning and removing the brush paint on various other parts..........
  21. Oow leopardskin, cosy!
  22. A few days ago... with no decals, now searching for some........ From 1965 delivered today.......................... I bought and built it's brother the Sandpiper a few years ago! And an already started.......
  23. Brilliant finish, and real cracker, well done!
