This things is going to be amazing. If nothing else, the dedication to build sure is! -
Hi Erik - In case you were thinking about building a '72 - '74 Challenger body, I found the Arii Dodge Challenger kit to be surprisingly good detail . The chassis and interior are a differenct matter - the kit was initially desgined to be a battery powered toy. The Arii kit even comes with some decals that might help you out in your build too. I have a set of these decals left over from my build, as well as these that you are welcome to have: I don't remember where they came from, but they seem to be period correct for your purpose. I'll never use them SC

I've never had the pleasure of dealing Perry's, but you could always try to contact him via his website to see if his stuff is still available. I've seen some cool products that have my interest, but haven't attempted to buy on-line. Copied from Perry's website: Changes at Perry's When I started Perry's Resin Replicas, I did so with a long term goal of someday opening a hobby shop. In November 2006, we did that. I had originally planned on continuing with Perry's in it's current form, but time isn't permitting that. With the hobby shop being a full-time, and, at this time, a seven day a week job, I've decided to trim Perry's back. We are dropping all the small parts and tires from the website, however they will still be available in the shop and at shows. They will NOT be available by mail or internet order. The website will continue to operate and carry the body kits and conversions. All current orders will be filled, however, no new orders for small parts and tires will be processed as of January 7, 2008. Now, with time being freed up, this will allow us to bring new products to market. Randy Frost" Note the DATE posted on the memo - it apears that the website has not been updated in nearly10 years! With that said, sounds like you can not buy anything from Perry's without stopping by his shop (which does not have an internet presencee the last time I checked), or catch him at a show. Again, this is speculation based on the feedback I've read. There are plenty reviews floating around the internet about sales with past customers. Always worth checking into when looking to buy parts fromtehse Mom & Pops stores.

My take on the Jimmy Flintstone Olds body. Built to be a tribute, not a replica of the cars from the era. The wheels, drive line, interior, and chassis were all sourced from a glue bomb Beverly Hillbillies AMT kit. The back 2/3rds of the chassis have been narrowed, and the frame rails have been straightened and shortened to better suit the body. Dash and fire wall was made from an old plastic gift card, and the seat was kit stock, sectioned significantly to fit. Paint is rattle can Krylon, slightly weathered with Tamiya weather kit to give it a “driven” look. I left some “orange peel” on the body since it is a race car, not a show queen. Everything else was sourced from my parts box. I did mess up the grill shell by applying the gold BMF before the paint underneath fully cured, but I can live with it. It was always destined to be a shelf model. Would have liked to add more detail, but the glue bomb that I started with was a mess and missing some pats. Perhaps next time…. Sorry for all of the shadows – the kids insisted on being in front of, or directly behind me when I took the pics!

Gorgeous build, as usual. I wouldn't say I'm a fan of this body style, but this build makes me want to build one now
