  1. I removed the decals on a 1971 Duster that had been on there for probably 20 years. I just soaked the body in solvaset and used my fingernail to pick the decals away . NO damage to the finish at all
  2. Same here, built the 55 kit and its a VERY nice kit. I think the only complaint I had is the windsheild just barely fills the opening from the inside . so be very aware of how or what you use to set the glass ps, i like the color you have on it
  3. A 1958 seems to be one tough cookie to come up with,,, reasonably. I looked for nearly a year before I got one in my budget. ( mine is a convertible ) I have an extra vert body if someone needs it,,,but its been pretty heavily modified . and I think its to far gone to build anything close to OE stock
  4. Just like the title states.,,,,,,,Whats the best source for either / both of the above engines ? I have a project in mind and I cant decide if I want to go new powertrain or stick with old but cool looking
  5. Seller has sold built kits for WAAAAAAAY more then that.
  6. All street Hemi cars were black valve covers. Not 100% certain but I think the only factory installed chrome valve covers were 64-65 Race hemi cars Now, that said . it wouldnt be all that uncommon for Race cars to have there valve covers chromed,,,as it was a popular thing to do back then . And in every underhood picture of a S+M car I have ,,its chrome valve covers.. So chances even though the S+M bird started life as a Street Hemi car with black valve covers. My money is on it had chrome
  7. Hope its just a picture angle but it looks like the front edge of the roof / top of the windshield opening .....curls upward? If that's the case PLEASE fix it before release
  8. I like it, I have one I keep thinking I need to go ahead and build it for a slump buster
  9. Want a case of these. Is the roof supposed to be repaired in this issue ? And yes it is the one needed to do the Bill Jenkins - Black Arrow car
  10. Pin it. Superbird wings were never painted on the car
  11. Not to bust your bubble ......But on an actual 1968 Hemi Dart...The battery is in the trunk Otherwise it looks fantastic
  12. Count me in as another vote for a 56 Continental kit in 1/25th scale. I have always liked the looks of the car
  13. Those were good looking cars. Friend of mine used to own a black on black one with the 425 ? with 2 fours. For a big car that thing would FLY
  14. This week I picked up an empty box for wall art of I think is 1970 Camaro And 3 builtups........ AMT 1959 Impala Craftsman series,,,,, MPC 1971 Cuda and a AMT 1961 Sunliner . Got what I thought was a good buy for the 4 pieces ( less than $80 for it all )
  15. Sorry , not a fan of skirts , UNLESS ,,,,,,,,, when they have a nice pair of legs sticking out of them,,,,,,But thats whole another story line that could probably go all wrong
  16. Havent seen it in a while. But there use to be a 62 Galaxie vert around here locally. Black with red int. 406 4spd . I REALLY liked that car. Same guy also owns a white with red int 63 vert , I heard a few months back he had put a cammer motor in the 63 but I havent seen it yet
  17. Even though I am not usually a hot rod fan / builder . This car just pops my butons in all the right places,,,,,So I want to replicate it as close as I can. Anyone know the style or name of the wheels , Is anything close avail in 1/25th scale ??????
  18. About every order I've placed with Slixx has taken 2 or 3 weeks. just be patiant . Considering the fact they are even doing this particualar sheet , I would bet they are swamped with orders for them
  19. Agreed, But a clean builder 58 is TOUGH to come up with,,,,, in either form. I looked for nearly a year before I got one,,,,and it still cost me over $50 with a heavily customized body Luckily our resident annuals builder guru ( aka StevenGuthmiller ) gave me a body to fix the one I got
  20. Fantastic, But my bank account sure wishes you would stop.,,,,,,,,Every time you get one of these old annuals finished It adds another one to my want list
  21. me three,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,I like the 58 more than the 57
  22. What is this thing called Planning you mention.? I see a subject I like ,, then go from there. Which usually means I look for and buy the subject kit,,,, then I see something I like and the process repeats. The problem with this method is nothing gets built ,,,but my stash grows and grows and grows .............
  23. Or put a counter sunk machine screw inside the tubing , then mount the tubing in a vice and slowly pressing the screw into the tubing will flare it out,,,,be advised go SLOWLY
  24. REALLY Nice haul. I am so jealous If you want to unload the 59 Dodge or the Plymouth, PM me
