  1. Paint over it ?,,,,,the chrome bumper or the grille insert. On mine I dont know its a dealer promo and they were not detail painted . So they stayed as is for my application. But I would say no harder than painting any other model part
  2. I think in the 350 to 400 range in unbuilts . If I add in the built / finsihed kits add in maybe anout 150 .. Then I think I have maybe another 40-50 old builtups . I've bought maybe 20-25 kits since the 1st of the year and not one of them has been a modern kit. Its been all old annuals and/or drag car kits. The last new / readily avail kit I bought was the 1970 Hemi Cuda and thats been over a year. I do plan to pick up at least one of the 57 Ford wagons here soon and will probably get one each of the F100 pickups just for good measure .
  3. Need to see anything else ? The grille and insert both from Modelhaus
  4. Yep. Finding one without the custom skirts on it was tough to come up with. Also have a 59 Mercury on the way.
  5. The source can depend A LOT on the era your after / trying to replicate
  6. Great thread...I'm afraid the only 59 chrysler kit I have is the Imperial. ..and it's still in the box. But I do have a bunch of 1959 Kits. (its the year I was born and I am on a mission to obtain most of the kits produced for the 1959 Model year ) I do have one on each side thats done though. A 1958 and a 1960 Imperial convertibles
  7. Really Clean builtup 1959 Galaxie convertible
  8. I think it looks pretty darn good as is
  9. Valve covers upside down
  10. Yep....same car
  11. Crankcase evaporated system
  12. Very, Very, nice
  13. I agree,, keep moving forward and try not to take it to seriously I tend to try not an over analize things to much. I want them accurate,,but within reason. If I can look in my case and see the vision i had in my mind , I'm good.
  14. Then just for good measure,,maybe one of each of these
  15. Most of the new go fast stuff doesnt do much for me. I like style and character. On top of my list would be this actual car
  16. The only Hemi with the dist in the front is the 426 . And other than its a ' Hemi ' it shares nothing with any of the earlier Hemi engines Ps, all the Hemis were staggered cylinder heads,,, regardless of year or size. pss, the engine in the Borsch Charger AA/FC kit is a 426 based, The engine in the Borsh AA fuel altered is a 392 based
  17. There all over priced junk. send them all to me so I can dispose of them properly
  18. Are all the graphics on this decals ? I sure hope so.....I want one
  19. Seats are unique to a coronet year by year
  20. Probably the most accurate on the bodies. The interiors can leave a bit to be desired. Chassis leave a lot to be desired. But for the most part price is due to subject matter.

  22. This is just my opinion and nothing more. Are you sure Modelhaus will even be for sale when said retirement occurs ? Will they even care IF , when or to whom its sold to ,,be in in its entirety or peacemeal ? If so ( again my opinion ) But when a business goes up for sale in most cases and to MOST potential buyers they will value it for darn near pennies on the dollar . again my opinion only and nothing more
  23. Going to stop by my LHS this weekend and get me one of these. Any issues be damned.....I want one bad. Then I just need to find the wheels I want to use.
