I don't think I ever got a '40 Ford slantback, perhaps it's time I did. 

Of course, I keep hoping that AMT will find a bunch of missing annuals of years past and we get a few surprises over a few years.

I suspect the '58 Edsel will make a reappearance in the next year or two. It's a very nice kit and looks good together. 

Another run of Lindberg '61 Chevys? That's a super-nice product.

1950-51 Studebaker- I think Ron might be on to something there.

1950 Buick Special Sedanette, which can be based on the Revell '50 Olds.

A brick Caprice or LTD; I really do think we'll see one before much longer.

Revell reissued Heller's excellent 1931 Bentley this year, so maybe we'll see some other heller kits coming out from them.  The BMW 328 would be a natural fit with the other classic BMWs Revell Germany has released.

I'm hopeful for an A/FX, but I wouldn't mind another F/C or an AA/FA. I know we've had recent F/C's, thank you Polar Lights, but I'm greedy.

Since I have wheelstanders on the brain, a NEW tool like a Stagecoach or Tank or even something off the wall, like a newer Challenger as the Hemi Under Glass or some other generic / fictional theme. I would also like it to have a detailed V-Drive, not an oblong blob with a couple of shaft holes.

And none of this silliness about expensive licensing. Do it right, like the Batmobile, and they'll get every penny back and then some.

If that is true, I better dig the couple I have in my stash out  and get them on eBay, I'd hate to miss out on getting obscene money for them!

I would expect a 67 Pace Car (hidden headlight convertible) given their penchant for pace cars.  Totally forgot about that one or I would have put it on my list. 

I think before we see a 67 Pace Car, they will milk a couple more hardtops- think Yenko or Z-28.

 

Besides, I have a nice resin '67 Camaro convertible body from Greg Wann to finish!

A yenko '67 Camaro would be nice, then Revell has 3 Yenko Chevy's.

On the new announcements, think Revell will do another muscle car, hopefully a 2nd gen GTO, Round-2 hopefully finds the '68 Galaxie tool and Moebius, maybe a 50s Buick?

BTW have the 4th quarter new releases been announced yet?

Sorry to say Charlie, but the '50 Buick Special is not as close to '50 Olds 88 as you might think. In 1950 the Oldsmobile 88s were built off of GM's "A" body platform. Shared with Chevrolet and Pontiac. The Buick Specials for 1950 were on the larger "B" platform. Shared with the Olds 98 and the "small" Cadillac Series 61 ( the "big" Caddys, Series 62, were on the "C" platform along with the Buick Super and Roadmaster). GM's body sharing program can be quite confusing from that time period.

Other problems, besides the body. Buick's own frame. And their use of a straight eight engine, rather than a V-8 like the Oldsmobile.

All of that said, with I being a big Buick fan, I too would love to see a '50 Buick. Especially in a sedanette body like you mentioned. Actually I'd rather see a big Roadmaster, more than a a Special. But, again sorry to say Charlie, I think yours or mine wishes are not going to happen on this one. I hope I'm wrong on this. But, I'm not holding breath on seeing this one.

Let's  just say.....continue to buy......and you will be blown away by what is planned......good times in the hobby for sure!!

X2 above.  Some in the works will blow you away.  Let's just hope that they actually make it all the way to the marketplace.  

Just hoping that Revell's top leadership's focus on entry level kits, which is well timed and appropriate in my view, does not begin to exclude continued effort/investment in newly tooled kits aimed at the adult model car audience.  That would be a huge mistake ( an example would be the lack of full detail C7 Corvette and new generation Mustang kits being introduced during c.y. 2016).  Absolutely ZERO insider knowledge at play here, just expressing a minor but emerging concern on my part.

Yeah, I would love to see this, It seems this is overdue as they have already re-released the `57 since the last release of the Corvette kit, and I believe we have seen the Camaro twice in that time. I`m also waiting to see if we will ever see the `79 or `80 Trans am or the `78 or `81 Corvettes in 1/8 scale. We`ve seen the Iroc and a host of other 1/8 kits in recent years. I am still seeing the `79 kit go for over $300 every now and then. 

I know we don`t want to see yet another Camaro, but I think a Revell version of the `70 Camaro is long overdue.

If a new Hellcat were not offered soon, that would be a big miss, in my opinion. I'd be happy either with a Charger or Challenger- although the Challenger would be more of a natural, since it's a coupe, and it could be based on Revell's excellent SRT-8. 

Also- while we're talking about big scale/ 1/12- I think Mopar has been left out of that party WAY too long. If Revell is to do a new 1/12 subject, they should either do a new Hellcat Challenger (which could be a nice companion piece to the Shelby Mustang they did a few years back), or if they need a vintage subject- a '69 Charger would be a natural. They could go the extra mile and include Vector mags as a custom option for a little more juice to that release, if you catch my drift. 

I say this being pretty familiar with their 1/12 Camaro, Corvette and '57 Chevy, which I really liked, while always wishing for a nice Mopar in that scale.

Yes i agree with you on the Challenger Hellcat  but only in 1/25th scale but a 70' Superbird in 1/12th or 70' charger r/t 1/12th would be cool!

Forgot about that one, but I'll temper my anticipation for the time being. I fear it would lean closer to Revell's '70 Challenger R/T-T/A than to their '68/9 Charger kits, which, if true, would be unfortunate.

I forgot to list the MPC '84 GMC 4x4 pickup, too. That's a slam dunk sales home run for Round2, even without a Silver Screen sub-label.

I kind of want to see a full-detail C7 Vette, but the "craftsman" pre-paint is pretty nice (im fondling one as I type ) and between it and the snapper would probably satisfy 99% of the market if or when they do an unpainted-in-white kit with decals.

Moebius' 1965 Plymouth A990 Super Stock Sedan is pretty much a definite.   But maybe an AWB is a possibility too? 

Hope they do the A990 first - really want to build the Chicago police car from Cooley High without having to do another roof transplant.

    Now that Round2 bought Lindberg the 34 Ford P/U tooling is back in the AMT stable.  They're definitely going to do something with it.

Maybe a longshot, but how about adding a photoetch grille and wheel spokes?

Really, nothing wouls surprise me. The hobby has finally natured to include subjects once un thinkable.

Now that we don't have WalMart or similar retailers deciding for us, we have benefited greatly!

A kit doesn't have to sell a million units, thank God!

I'm grateful for the Edsels, the Chrysler 300's, The Hudsons, the 40's Chevy's, the whole lot of niche cars!

I wouldn't be surprised to see any (and eventually, all) of the AF/X, etc. style cars released by Model King re-issued by Round2. They've already re-issued the '65 Mustang AF/X car, '69 GTO F/C, and the '73-ish Challenger is due out in November, so the '69 Camaro F/C, Falcon AF/X, and Cougar F/C can't be too far behind.
