mrmike Posted May 14, 2019 Posted May 14, 2019 When I try to upload a picture from my computer, I get this message in a rectangular box near the top of the screen. "There was a problem processing the uploaded file. -200" It happens for every picture I try to upload. I had to go back to using third party hosting for my pictures. Is there an issue with the forum or something on my computer?
Dave Ambrose Posted May 14, 2019 Posted May 14, 2019 I don’t know, but I’ll take a look at this. We just made some server changes. Can you send me screen shot(s) of the message?
Hotrod 97 Posted May 14, 2019 Posted May 14, 2019 I’m glad the issue is being looked at, because I had the exact same thing happen a few hours ago. I resized the photos (for example, a 2.5MB picture downsized to about 300KB) and that seemed to work.
89AKurt Posted May 15, 2019 Posted May 15, 2019 Yea, server changes eh? I've appreciated being able to post pictures directly. I can go through the extra effort using Flickr..... expect less activity.
Rob Hall Posted May 15, 2019 Posted May 15, 2019 (edited) Yeah, the other day I tried uploading 1/2 dozen pics (the Moebius 66 Ford kit parts), and only one uploaded, the others all had errors. The rest I had to put on my Fotki page and link to. Edited May 15, 2019 by Rob Hall
David G. Posted May 15, 2019 Posted May 15, 2019 I get the exact same error no matter the size of the photos. I've been getting it since Sunday. David G.
gwolf Posted May 15, 2019 Posted May 15, 2019 I get the -200 error message no matter how big or small the photos are as well.
bobthehobbyguy Posted May 15, 2019 Posted May 15, 2019 (edited) Edited May 15, 2019 by bobthehobbyguy File is under 300k
89AKurt Posted May 16, 2019 Posted May 16, 2019 (edited) This reminds me of when Flickr decided "more awesomeness" was needed, and they so trashed their website that people bailed. They made it like a firetruck had a garden hose. It was legendary to tech geeks, simply annoying to everyone else. If we are forced into using another site to host photos, that's about a dozen more steps. If cost is an issue, I would be willing to subscribe for using this forum. Let's see if this works..... 89AKurt Posted May 16, 2019 Posted May 16, 2019 (edited) *edit* Hey, this worked for me! Thanks Russell. Edited May 16, 2019 by 89AKurt
michelle Posted May 16, 2019 Posted May 16, 2019 i hope they get the nomal uploader fixed or else i wont be able to post pics of my builds anymore
peteski Posted May 16, 2019 Posted May 16, 2019 Normal uploader works for me (as you can see above). My browser is: User agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; WOW64; rv:52.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/52.0 SeaMonkey/2.49.4
89AKurt Posted May 16, 2019 Posted May 16, 2019 Drag and drop not working for me now. Notice says it's downloading, waited much longer than before, never uploaded.
signguy2108 Posted May 16, 2019 Posted May 16, 2019 At least i know now that it wasn't just me, still getting same message this morning....."problem uploading files -200"
Ace-Garageguy Posted May 16, 2019 Posted May 16, 2019 Yup...same here: "problem uploading files -200"
mrmike Posted May 16, 2019 Author Posted May 16, 2019 I still can't upload pictures from my computer. Still getting that message-"problem uploading files-200". Until the problem is fixed, I'll be using IMGUR.
michelle Posted May 16, 2019 Posted May 16, 2019 i wont be posting any new model builds till it is fixed i am not going to get a photo hosting account ie photo bucket imgur flickr cause they only give you limited amount of gbs for the free versions and that is all i can do and i dont want to use use my instagram either as that is for my non model building hobbies
Gumball Posted May 16, 2019 Posted May 16, 2019 I have the same problem right now. How did you fix it?
