Finished up my '53 F100 from over on the workbench section. This model was a couple of firsts for me. It is the first 1950's vehicle I've ever built and the first curbside model. I had a lot of fun and am quite pleased with how it turned out. Some of the modifications include adding louvers to the hood, moving the front wheel openings forward 4.5 scale inches, smoothing and opening the grill, deleting the bumper and molding in the front pan, molded in rear rolled pan and 1948 Ford taillights. Wheels are from the most recent AMT 1936 Ford kit with their parts pack double stripe tires. The tuck & roll interior set comes from my friend Ed at Drag City Casting and, to me, is the icing on the cake for this truck. Color is Testors one coat Root Beer with Tamiya Racing White and Maroon. Decals all come from the most recent AMT 1934 Ford Pickup.

I just wanta get in and drive!  What a magnificent exercise in restraint.  I am very impressed by your patience in being able to graft those louvred panels into your hood and not damage them in the sanding process - that is an amazing feat in it's own right!

Cheers

Beautiful paint work. I like the changes to the Hood and the rest of the front end. The interior changes really look good.

I loved this truck right from the start!!

The hood and the grill mods are my

favorite parts still.

Ed's kool interior set is truly as good

as it gets! His parts are so nice you

almost hate to build them up!!  LOL!!

The only bad thing I can think of is,

that it has not been boxed up for the

shipping to my house!!!!  ?

You already know what I like about this old truck! So, I'll just add that I hope to see you do some more builds like this in the future!
