hedotwo Posted July 28, 2020 Posted July 28, 2020 This '59 started in decent shape but still needed a fair amount of TLC. I used Tamiya TS-60 Pearl Green with a Folk Art Hunter Green craft acrylic roof, cleared with Tamiya clear. I'm happy with the build, although there are a number of things I'd like to do over differently ? . For my display case it's great though. 1
Tom Geiger Posted July 28, 2020 Posted July 28, 2020 (edited) Neat model! Back in 1978 my cousin had a green and white Belvedere with a flathead six. It was a cool car that had been “restored “ until you took a better look! Rusty mess under those freshly painted panels! Edited July 28, 2020 by Tom Geiger
doorsovdoon Posted July 28, 2020 Posted July 28, 2020 Super nice. What a transformation! I love the two tone green.
Husky1943 Posted July 28, 2020 Posted July 28, 2020 Well, everyone said it so well....great color and great build!
espo Posted July 28, 2020 Posted July 28, 2020 Great looking paint job. I like your color selection. The side trim looks very nice also.
MrObsessive Posted July 29, 2020 Posted July 29, 2020 I've got one of those X-EL promos lying around somewhere in that EXACT color! Excellent save and those are getting harder and harder to come by now in decent shape. At least you have the interior...........mine is the "empty" one with no interior per the original promos.
Rockford Posted July 29, 2020 Posted July 29, 2020 You've done a great job salvaging that. Colours work well too. Wasn't the style Exner's "Forward Look"
