Hi all,

I have always loved the Anglias, but.... I also always thought that their rear fenders were too narrow.
This model is also in the “WIP” section if you are interested.
So, here goes:

 Body:

- modified hood from flip nose to lift off hood

- added ‘37 Ford rear fenders from a Lindberg kit

- mesh grill, turn signals from parts box

-headlights from a Monogram ‘40 Ford PU

- recessed rear license plate

- suicide doors

- tinted windows with smoke clear

- paint is Dupli colour metal cast red over gold base

Interior:

- dash is modified from Lindberg ‘37 Ford with nav screen added

- seats from the J2000 pro street kit, MCG seat belts

- tilt steering, steering wheel and sub woofer from Hay’s T-Bird kit

- fuel cell with aluminum tube filler neck

- power window switches

- flocked with painted embossing powder

Chassis/ motor:

- tubbed and modified for four link rear and front struts

- channeled and lowered

- wheels from Tijuana taxi kit, tires and disc brakes from parts box

- aluminum tubing exhaust tips

- motor is from parts box with 3D printed whipple blower

- ignition wires and fuel lines added

Overall, I am happy with how it turned out. A few issues, but every model is a learning experience right?!

All comments and feedback welcome, thanks for looking

Cheers, Steve

I enjoyed watching it come together on the WIP thread, great to see it finished - looks fantastic!

As several of us mentioned there, the Anglia/Popular is a significant one in the UK rod and custom world and it's really good to see this example built with such great attention to detail.

This turned out absolutely wicked-cool! We hardly ever see these Anglia's getting built, let alone a proper 90's pro-street version. I like everything about it, especially the interior both in parts selection and execution.

?

Hi Dennis, thank you very much sir, it was a fun one.

Great fab work and fine detailing. Love the colour. That engine sure is a tight fit. Very cool!

Hi Trevor, yes, it would be an understatement to say it was a little “snug” under the hood.

Thanks for the kind words.

Nigel !!  Thanks for your input in the WIP section, and for following along. I appreciate the kind words.

I hope you, and the other  UK  guys noticed the little British flag ?? on the fuel cell. That was all about you lot across the pond!

Cheers, Steve

Beautiful looking, and I'm glad you listed all of the things you did to the body and everything else. I saw some of the build, but seeing it all come together without that information it would be hard to grasp what all has been done. Most remarkable looking build.

Hi Steve!

This is a great acomplishment. What I mean, outside the fact that the car is a beauty, is that these cars are SMALL, and packaging is a major issue. You succeded in cramming a fairly big powertrain in a small british car. Bravo!

Come to think of it: that is also what made Shelby famous, no? A big Ford V8 in a small AC sports car.

Here's to you!

Hi guys, thank you all very much for the comments/compliments. It’s quite humbling to have such talented builders compliment my build. I have been on the forum since mid July and have learned a lot. There is a tremendous amount of talent here. I look forward to watching, learning, and continuing to advance my skills.

Cheers, Steve

Hello Claude! Thank you sir,  as I have said before, I am a huge fan of your builds. Thanks for your interest and compliments. Yes, it was a challenge stuffing everything in that little car.  Despite the issue with the clear coat, I am very happy with the paint.
