yellowsportwagon Posted November 29, 2020 Posted November 29, 2020 (edited) I cut the roof off a hardtop kit. Added Zimmerman wheels and Pegasus brakes. Engine and intake from a 69 Riv kit. With turned injector stacks. Tubbed the frt wells to allow it to sit this low. Added a shifter, steering wheel ,column sun visors and armrests from a Monogram GSX kit. espo Posted November 29, 2020 Posted November 29, 2020 This really looks great. I like the added engine equipment and detailing. Nice color combination and the wheels give it a very aggressive look.
TransAmMike Posted November 29, 2020 Posted November 29, 2020 Very nice bigcat Tim, beautiful color. ?
Spottedlaurel Posted November 29, 2020 Posted November 29, 2020 That looks excellent. The blue paintwork is a great choice for it.
Sixties Sam Posted November 30, 2020 Posted November 30, 2020 Very nice model! You don't see many of those big GM convertibles. Great color, and well done! Sam
#1 model citizen Posted November 30, 2020 Posted November 30, 2020 Nice clean build! great color choice!
Monty Posted November 30, 2020 Posted November 30, 2020 (edited) My dad was a huge fan of convertibles and we had some nice ones, so this naturally caught my eye. Your conversion really turned out well, and the upgrades add the perfect finishing touch to a great looking build. May I ask which specific paints you used on the body and interior? (Ex: Testors #2546, Humbrol #58 etc) They really set this car off. Edited November 30, 2020 by Monty

Monty Posted December 1, 2020 Posted December 1, 2020 No problem. That ability should give you a lot of flexibility when planning your builds. You certainly have an eye for color. Those shades look like something that would've come straight out of Buick's design department back in the day.

Kinda stuck with the theme

doorsovdoon Posted December 1, 2020 Posted December 1, 2020 wow, that looks seriously good! Stunning colour and a really nice job on the conversion, very nice. The sun visors are a great touch, I would have forgotten to add things like that.
