New Dodge Muscle Car for '24?

I bumped into this very interesting article about what Stellantis has in store for Dodge in 2024. In the article here, it reinforces also what I've thought about the future of ICE's and why auto manufacturers are going the route they're going. ?

Bringing back the Polara name would be cool, at least. Monaco does have more of a racing connection, but Dodge only put that name on luxury cars.

Until electric cars soak up 100% solar power, they still have to plug into power stations connected to Edison, which still uses fossil fuel to run it's power plants.

So just because the car companies say they're "green", the energy to make them move still has to come from dynersawers!

Consumers Energy to Quit Coal by 2025, Speeding Closure of Five Units

Michigan’s largest energy provider Consumers Energy will stop using coal as a fuel source for power generation within the next four years—15 years earlier than previously planned.
In an updated integrated resource plan (IRP) filed with the Michigan Public Service Commission (MPSC) on June 23, the CMS Energy subsidiary said the effort would lead Michigan’s clean energy transformation, and, if approved, it would make Consumers “one of the first utilities in the nation to go coal-free.”

I tell people who are "so proud" that they own an electric car that their car runs on coal.  They don't seem to like that fact! ?

Sound really neat. The more electric cars get bought and popular isn’t going to put more stres on the electric grid that is maxed out already..

Maybe it's because New York's electical grid runs almost exclusively  on natural gas, nuclear, and hydro.

Half the people on the road today can't control what they're driving now. The answer is more power ?  EV's are here and many more are on the way in pick ups and SUV's as well as most any body style you can think of. Beyond the Piolet Error issues we are seeing with the ones on the road now there are many other  associated issues to consider. Recharging stations for one since our electrical grid is being taxed just to keep your home air conditioner going. What about Road Taxes ?, you know how are the owners going to pay their fair share of the cost of the road ways? Many taxing questions and we're trying to run with the EV's and we still aren't sure how to walk now.

It is factually possible for a car to do naught to 60 in  2 seconds, the Ferrari Ferrari SF90 Stradale did it when Car&Driver tested it just recently ,the 2022 Tesla Model S Plaid did naught to 60 in 1.98 second( under track prepped conditions) , so its very possible for this new EV to hit in 2 flat.

2.0 seconds idk, but there are cars now that are under 3.0 easy

Top Fuel Race cars run 3.5 seconds in a 1000 foot run. Top speed is in the 350 mph range. They don't run the 1/4 mile any more do to the high speeds.

On the test track with professional drivers maybe. With ordinary drivers on the highway, they'll burn rubber on the tires before they actually get a move on. 2 seconds is like warp speed.
