It was new in late 1964, which is closer to 60 years ago. ;)

Dunno about you, but just the other day I finished up a build ('69 Ford Galaxie) I started 52 years ago.

I think it was AMT lacquer. It polished out pretty nicely, whatever it was. B) Couple pics in the BOYD thread.

Quite lovely, but that's the Grand Prix, not the Bonneville. (At least it has an accurate roof. ;) )

Pontiac Iris Mist, same as Chevrolet Evening Orchid metallic.  Testors had it in their lacquer auto color line (no longer available).  Can get through MCW or Scale Finishes or touch up paint companies.  I recollect was a one year only color

Not quite as long, but I still have a few I'm finishing up from junior high school (1986-'89) and high school. College for that matter, too.

With the skyrocketing prices, maybe it'll force me to finish up everything....

HI!

Built this one, from the Prestige series. Was molded in blue. No issues whatsoever. But the interior was rather "simplistic". I "curbed my enthusiasm", and settled for a curbside.

So much styrene, so little time...

I really like the wheels on this build! Not what I would have chosen, but the work really well.

Hi Alan!

The car was subdued on purpose, so I figured some "out of the ordinary" wheels should do.

They are front wheels from a RC controled Maisto split window early Corvette, in what I believe is 1/18th scale (but not certain about the scale). The rear wheels were too wide, so I sacrified two of those cheap "toy" vette to get the complete set I needed.

Nice build, even though we all know that's the GP, not the Bonneville... ?

I decided to see how long it would take before someone mentioned it. As it turns out, over a month!
