Immortal Chips Posted October 28, 2021 Posted October 28, 2021 Started with a Lindberg ratrod kit, lowered the stance by modifying the front and rear suspension and channeling the body over the frame. Removed the original bench seat and added a flat floor with bomber seats. Fabricated a new firewall to suit the blown hemi. Thanks for looking, hope you like it.
Intmd8r Posted October 28, 2021 Posted October 28, 2021 Great looking Rod-the modifications really work well to complete the lookÂ
Zippi Posted October 28, 2021 Posted October 28, 2021 WOWSER.....good looking 34 Ford. That will get you to the drug store and back in a hurry. Those bomber seats look great. Can't really tell, is that a skull for the shifter knob?

Thanks Bob, no it’s the shifter from the Lindberg kit but on closer inspection it does look like one ?
Modelbuilder Mark Posted October 28, 2021 Posted October 28, 2021 Such a cool looking ride! I really like that wheel choice for this project.Â
carbuilder1950 Posted October 28, 2021 Posted October 28, 2021 (edited) WOWÂ Â @Immortal Chips Boy is this a nice build. Beautiful. Everything looks perfect, including the gorgeous paint !! Dave Edited October 28, 2021 by carbuilder1950
espo Posted October 28, 2021 Posted October 28, 2021 Great looking paint work. I like how you blended the different body parts and back dated the grill shell. The interior looks perfect with this style.Â
carrucha Posted October 30, 2021 Posted October 30, 2021 Sweet hotrod. Nice work on the black paint.
Phirewriter Posted October 30, 2021 Posted October 30, 2021 (edited) Well done! Those older Lindberg hot rod kits are simple and lacking in detail and accuracy. This build just goes to show with a little talent and vision they can be made into little gems. I have an nostalgic enthusiasm for these kits as my grandmother would buy me these when I came to visit since they were generally half the cost if not less than the mainstream kits at the time. She always made sure I had something to build if I was staying the weekend. I love to see highly finished versions of these kits and there been a few posted over the years here. I just need to get mine on the project completion list too. Again great job!! Edited October 30, 2021 by Phirewriter

happy grumpy Posted October 31, 2021 Posted October 31, 2021 Beautiful little rod. Well built and nice finish.
bill-e-boy Posted October 31, 2021 Posted October 31, 2021 Nice build to what started life as a basic kit Would be a hairy ride in real life with a huffed elephant and skinny cross plies on wires - !!!!
doorsovdoon Posted November 1, 2021 Posted November 1, 2021 That looks dangerously fun to drive! Nice work, black and red always looks so good on a hot rod.
