Rocking Rodney Rat Posted December 21, 2021 Posted December 21, 2021 (edited) Most of the build is from the Revell Stacy David's Rat Roaster '32 roadster kit. I removed all the 'Rat Roaster' identifying parts and added parts from several kits (mainly other Revell '32 kits). Paint is Testors Mythical Maroon and Tamiya Metallic Black. -RRR Edited December 21, 2021 by Rocking Rodney Rat 7 1
stinkybritches Posted December 21, 2021 Posted December 21, 2021 Top notch as usual. Great looking build. 1
cobraman Posted December 21, 2021 Posted December 21, 2021 Oh that car is sweet ! I like it a lot, very cool. 1
Zippi Posted December 21, 2021 Posted December 21, 2021 WOW....what a good looking souped up old school Hot Rod. That color fits just right and those rear fenders look so kewl. Nice detail work. It just looks so clean. 1
NOBLNG Posted December 21, 2021 Posted December 21, 2021 That turned out great! I love the colour and all the details like the new headlight mounts. 1
Paul Payne Posted December 21, 2021 Posted December 21, 2021 Great build, love the colors! Plenty of mix and match parts in both the deuce and A kits!
espo Posted December 21, 2021 Posted December 21, 2021 I like how you picked just the right parts from the other kits for your build. Great looking paint finish. The rear fenders would make a lot of sense in 1:1 for body protection and they do look good. Great looking engine and chassis detailing.
Bainford Posted December 21, 2021 Posted December 21, 2021 Gorgeous Roadster. Everything just looks right. Nice mix & match of parts, and a row of carburetors is always cool. Very nicely done.
TarheelRick Posted December 21, 2021 Posted December 21, 2021 Sweet roadster. As others have stated, your selection of parts has put together a mighty fine little hot rod.
Claude Thibodeau Posted December 21, 2021 Posted December 21, 2021 Hi Sir! Makes for a beautiful period-correct rod, with a perfect stance at that... Bravo! CT
Rocking Rodney Rat Posted December 21, 2021 Author Posted December 21, 2021 (edited) Thanks for the kind comments, all. I was looking for a car to use the spark arrestor air cleaners made by Norm Veber of Reps and Mins of MD. They fit nicely on those Rochester carbs from the Revell '29 roadster. -RRR Edited December 21, 2021 by Rocking Rodney Rat
Draggon Posted December 21, 2021 Posted December 21, 2021 Man that's nice RRR! That side shot is just about perfect ?
happy grumpy Posted December 21, 2021 Posted December 21, 2021 Great rod in an awesome paint job. I like the exhaust pipes.
Dennis Lacy Posted December 21, 2021 Posted December 21, 2021 Your Un-Ratted Roadster turned out beautiful, RRR. You kit-bashed it into something that I would actually want to be seen in! ? I especially like the headlight bar. The paint turned out awesome, too. Looks like I could dip my finger in it!
crossfire 2004 Posted December 21, 2021 Posted December 21, 2021 Fantastic build, wouldn’t change a thing on that beauty.
Dan Hay Posted December 21, 2021 Posted December 21, 2021 Can you post a picture of straight on the front so I can see what the headlight bar looks like?
Rocking Rodney Rat Posted December 21, 2021 Author Posted December 21, 2021 1 hour ago, Dan Hay said: Can you post a picture of straight on the front so I can see what the headlight bar looks like? There are some in progress pix on the WIP thread that show how the bar was constructed. -RRR 1
