niteowl7710
So let's take a peek shall we? First up the well known and seen before 1971 Olds 442. Next up the reissue boards. Couple of things on here that have been mentioned in passing, but now with box art prototypes The 32 Ford is right around the corner, complete with an actual box. Aaaaand what we really all came here for, the debut of the 1971 Mustang. I drive to Nebraska so you don't have to... 1972coronet
Thanks much for these photos! 1939 Sedan Delivery has the same engine as the 1966 Malibu, which is great in its self. 1971 Olds! Awesome! 1971 BOSS 351 looks great, too (headlamps a little big?)
Jim B
The 1932 Roadster looks intriguing. Might just have to get one of those. I also might just have to get the 1/32 Bison & Mack R600, too. Edited July 20, 2022 by Jim B
Oldcarfan27
I like the Mustang. Finally a good 1/25 Cleveland! Let's hope it has both black and silver stripes. I wonder how long it it take before someone converts one to a 73? Edited July 20, 2022 by Oldcarfan27
Rodent
The 1:1 car they scanned has a deluxe interior, so that should make it easier to build a Mach 1 version (for them and for us).

stavanzer
For the Pulled Pork kit. It was First out in the '80's as the "Puldozer" Then the "Mad Mudder" in the 2000's Now it is the "Pulled PORK" It was made from this kit. In order to get a close-to-stock version, you can kit bash with this pickup kit to get a stock hood, suspension, rims, and engine. What you cannot get are the Back Seat and "Topper or removeable shell" over the back. But I am thrilled to see it return! Good to see the '39 Chevy, but sad that it still has those truly outdated wheels. As noted by Jim B, the Mack and Bison big rigs are 1/32 scale. For all that, very sharp kits. As for the rest.....Except for the '32 Roadster, are meh. Good to see the TD "Cop-Out" reborn as the "70 Plymouth Funny Car" It still has the light bar. (Which I'll be getting a couple of when eBay guys start to part that kit out)

They finally show us a preview and it's already getting critiqued. The AMT was lambasted that the lights were too small. Are we EVER satisfied? unclescott58
The ‘71 4-4-2 and Boss 351 will be getting my money for sure. I need to know more about the contents of the ‘32 before deciding if I need another one of those. The rest do little, to nothing for me. The Tom Daniel Duster funny cars especially. I liked the looks of Daniel’s original “Cop Out’ much better. Edited July 20, 2022 by unclescott58

Based on the box art, I am going to guess stock wheels are back in but the custom lowered suspension is still in over the stock height suspension. It would be nice to see the stock rear bumper and exhaust, but again I am going to guess those won't be appearing in this issue.

Better to present the hypothesis before the final tooling is cut -- and for those who know more about 1971-1973 Mustang cosmetics than I do; they can opine and, possibly, clarify. Looks GREAT to my eyes otherwise. And, yes, a potentially great 335-Series engine is a bonus.

Yeah they look the right size to me based on the pic you posted, I'm guessing it's just the unpainted plastic that makes them look larger. I do feel though that there is nothing wrong with critiquing a new tool kit, especially in the early stages where they can get feedback and fix the issues before it is too late. LOL! Yup. The silver car shot a few posts above doesn't really settle a danm thing, but this picture might: Recognize those thick rings around the lenses as a grille feature, and it all ought to look quite a bit better. The rest is making a VERY strong first impression, as well it should from the late-20th century scaling techniques finally adopted for it. I'm ready to bet it'll leave a nice, SportsRoof-shaped crater where any previous '71-'73 tooling has been. The drip rails on that 442, tho...
