Decals for the 442

Looking at the decals, it does appear that the front wheel openings are longer than the rears.

It sort of looks like the real car is the same way. Could also be the wheel arches are differently shaped front and rear.

Whelp, that clinches it. I'm going to have to get the Camaro kit, even if only for the decal sheet.

I've got a few kits that can definitely use the extras!

I'm so glad they brought out the 80-81 and not another 78 again, this year has been sorely lacking in 1/25 scale.

Same!

Thanks James for the excellent photos and coverage of the kit reveals....

All....I am pretty sure you can count on a Mach 1 version of the '71 Mustang (with appropriate power under the hood) to be in place for a future version of the kit tool...

Even if it's powered by a Cleveland 4v and not a 429, it's still a good choice!

The engine alone is worth the price of admission, the rest is just bonus.

Not that they'd do it, but I'd like to see a Sprint,

Or an Eleanor!

Thanx for the photos James! I don't suppose you would know if the "Pull Dozer" comes with the top would you? That's about the only one I have an interest in. I know the previous issues didn’t have it. Just hoping Revell saw fit to put back in there along with the rear seat.

No top in the pulling trucks, sadly.

Must be something wrong with it, as they keep issuing the puller. Can't believe it would be too hard to restore the Blazer, since most of the stock parts are in the pickup. All they need to make is the top and the back seat.

At the very least, make the top and seat and we'll do the rest.

In a perfect world, Revell, Round-2 or Moebius would release an all new series of those gen Blazers and C/K pickups.

Yes those would be good choices for variations as they use the same hood.  I had to add a lot of extra parts to the AMT kit to build this one.  I have an Eleanor body painted but that’s about it.

Absolutely.  I’m not holding my breath on a 73 Japanese police car version but I already converted the Testors “kit” to one.

Well, I'll be saving money for the foreseeable future then.

Pursuit only. Revenue generation not arrests. Save us from demon speeders. ??‍♂️?

Nice work on JDM dorifto chaser.

Two door sedan [et al.] police cars were quite common until the 1970s. My uncle (retired LASO Homicide Detective) told me that the majority of the Sheriff's Dept. cars were two door sedans (typically with a six banger or a small V8) until c.1970 -- and no A/C until 1972 (except for the sectors in hotter regions - like Lancaster).
Even the pursuit cars were two doors -- the fun ones with big engines! Those were used on in-town, county jurisdiction freeways & highways until the CHP took over all freeway patrols and services.

As a consumer, I'm not happy with the artwork (though it's terrific looking) on the new kits. I know those kits and they are made to look WAY better than they actually are.

The Mustang and the Deuce put a big 'ol smile on my face though. I had a neighbor with that Mustang growing up and I'm real fond of it. The '32 is the picture of the perfect hot rod.

Thanks for sharing.

Definitely getting that Z-28, I have some kits those decals will look nice on and one kit has 4 different sets, much cheaper than buying them separate.

Hopefully Revell has figured out the tires in that Blazer kit, but I won't hold my breath.

The 32? Might get one as those wheels are nice.

Revell fixed the tires in the '78 GMC Big Game pickup. So, they should be fixed in the Blazer too.

Well, Changed the Tires. I don't know that I'd be happy using the phrase "Fixed".

"Somewhat Improved" might be more accurate.

I

Patrick - Personally, I'm not much of a fan of the '73, but I'd love to see the 1972 Sprint as another derivative of the new Boss 351 tool....great idea!    TB

Yeah, you're right about that. They fixed where the tires would be backwards on one side but the kit rims still don't fit well. I used the wheels from the Deserter truck and they looked much better.
