Dragonhawk1066 Posted July 21, 2022 Share Posted July 21, 2022 Here's my version of the Monogram Shelby Cobra 427 S/C. I entered this one in this Forum's Cannonball Run Year of Birth Community Build. I custom mixed Chroma Molten Metals Copper with Delta Black craft paints and the stripes are Anita's Gloss Black craft paint, all airbrushed. I used Krylon Short Cuts Gloss Clear from the can, and wet-sanded, Novus polished, and Meguiar's waxed it for a shiny finish. I used the gauge decals from the Revell Streetburner Cobra kit and hand painted Molotow Chrome around the bezels. I used the wheels and tires from Revell's Dom's GTX kit, painted with the Anita's Glossy Black. I somehow lost the steering wheel, so my Ferrari Testarossa parts kit supplied this one. Shelby Cobra's are my dream car, and this is the second one I've built so far. The kits are pretty nice and pretty much look the part. I've had lots of fun building both. I included a couple of pics of the two Cobra's together, and the last two pics show the difference in lighting between indoors (2nd to last pic) and outdoors (last pic).
