ModelcarJR Posted August 25, 2022 Posted August 25, 2022 This one is done! Tamiya Pearl Light Green with a Krylon Ivory top. Interior is Krylon Hunter Green and Ivory. Nice kit with positive pin and locator holes. The instructions for the chassis are a bit confusing as they are portrayed right side up which means right is left and left is right when you build the chassis downside up. Other than that it is a very nice kit! Lots of chrome aned lots of foil. Thanks for looking! ? 4
70 Sting Posted August 25, 2022 Posted August 25, 2022 Really fine work. I hate you guys who are so good with BMF. ?
BeakDoc Posted August 26, 2022 Posted August 26, 2022 Crisp, clean and neat. Beautiful build. I’m digging that period correct looking paint choice. I love the lines and looks of those Hudsons. Can’t wait to dig into the ones in my stash.
charger74 Posted August 26, 2022 Posted August 26, 2022 Very nice, that green looks really good on it
happy grumpy Posted August 26, 2022 Posted August 26, 2022 She's a beauty. Crisp and clean. The color combo fits the period and the car perfectly. The BMF is flawless. Great job. I agree with you on moebius instructions, sometimes they get confusing.
beeRS Posted August 26, 2022 Posted August 26, 2022 Beautiful job. The colour suits the Hudson shape perfectly. I’m jealous of your BMF skills.
Zippi Posted August 26, 2022 Posted August 26, 2022 That's a looker John. I really like that color. Nice detail work on the business end ?
TooOld Posted August 26, 2022 Posted August 26, 2022 Beautiful work John , your foil and trim work looks excellent ! Love that color too , I have a can I'll have to use one day .
espo Posted August 26, 2022 Posted August 26, 2022 Beautiful paint and chrome body trim. Your interior is done in the same fashion, and you really should include a picture of that. The engine detail looks great.
ModelcarJR Posted August 26, 2022 Author Posted August 26, 2022 Thanks, everyone, for your very kind comments! You can look at my WIP for more detail on this build, including my confusion on the chassis and the interior detail. Years of building have convinced me that the three most important skills for any auto build are painting, foil, and clean assembly. You can add cottage industry details like plug wires, etc. but it will not substitute for the three most important skills. I am still working on all three, especially painting. Thanks again, and thanks for looking! ?
Hi-Po Posted August 26, 2022 Posted August 26, 2022 Nicely done! Great looking paint and bright work.
