Steve H Posted December 31, 2022 Posted December 31, 2022 Hi all, hope everyone had a great Christmas, and I wish you all a safe and happy new year. Thanks for all the great sharing!! I had a bit of an “off” year, but I have several builds that I’m really looking forward to, so definitely ready for 2023. First up the 70.5 Camaro Dutch Boys tribute build.. next up, the Mystery Machine… then the parking lot diorama… and lastly, fresh off the bench, the ‘72 Blazer. Technically, this one isn’t quite finished yet, but I’m hoping you guys will cut me some slack. It’s really close, have a handful of details to add (gas cap, coil, exhaust, air filter…) and a few touch ups. I have a bunch of catching up to do with everyone’s ‘22 builds which I will do over the next few days. Cheers, Steve 13
bbowser Posted December 31, 2022 Posted December 31, 2022 That Camaro is bad! And your parking lot is a perfect background for photos.
happy grumpy Posted December 31, 2022 Posted December 31, 2022 All great builds but that killer Camaro is just awesome.

Peter Lombardo Posted January 1, 2023 Posted January 1, 2023 Very nice group, but the Camaro is exceptional. Great job on it all around.... the flat paint suits it perfectly. Wow.

Bills72sj Posted January 1, 2023 Posted January 1, 2023 I was thinking about doing an add on parking lot for my workshop diorama this morning. I remembered yours before I saw this thread.

I do plan on doing the “neon tubes” on a future build at som point. On 12/31/2022 at 4:37 PM, Slotto said: Good stuff Steve Thank you Steve! Hi Peter, when I first saw the 1:1 car, I fell in love with the look and had to try and build something close. 12 hours ago, SpikeSchumacher said: Love that Camaro Steve! Cheers Thank you Spike! Thank you sir, very much appreciated. As mentioned above, one of my favourite builds. I still have a soft spot for my 66 Olds “Ol Comino though… I think you might be interested in my next build, hoping to start a WIP soon. It’s relatively simple, and it combines my model hoody, with my landscaping hobby. I thought the pavement turned out decent. 9 hours ago, Koellefornia Kid said: A great diorama, a cool van and a killer Camaro! I’ve got some good projects brewing in my head for this year. I’ll get that Blazer finished up then back to some pro touring builds. I also have a replica build planned for this year that I’m really excited about. Take care and happy new year.

Hi Bill, it was fairly simple, I think the key is finding what product works for replicating asphalt (or concrete). Everyone’s eye is a little different… 33 minutes ago, slusher said: Great year I like your Diorama and builds ! Hello Carl! Always good to hear from you my friend. I’m hoping for a slightly more productive year this year, we’ll see how that goes. Thanks to all of you for taking the time to comment. I haven’t been on the forum much since spring, but I’m recharged and ready for 2023. We have a wonderful group of very talented builders here. I look forward to more learning and sharing, thank you all. Cheers, Steve
espo Posted January 2, 2023 Posted January 2, 2023 Great looking trio. Remember following the Camaro build and the Blazer both. Great work.
Mattilacken Posted January 2, 2023 Posted January 2, 2023 Really nice Steve! I just love the Camaro! Happy new year mate!
