Dennis Lacy Posted January 4, 2023 Posted January 4, 2023 (edited) Like the title implies, I only managed to finish 2 models last year. The first was a 1963 Chevy II Wagon based on the AMT Craftsman curbside kit and transformed into a period-correct early 1990’s Street Car. What was intended to be a quick build quickly went off the rails, most notably when it came to the fully customized and mostly scratch built interior. The second marks a major milestone in my model building “career” as I was asked to build a hot rod and document the steps for a full feature in Model Cars Magazine #216 (which just came out.) I was given free reign and this rowdy looking 1932 Ford 3-Window Coupe stuffed with a Ford 427 SOHC is what I came up with. Here’s to looking forward to what 2023 has in store for our hobby! Cheers! ? Edited January 4, 2023 by Dennis Lacy 8
Koellefornia Kid Posted January 4, 2023 Posted January 4, 2023 Two outstanding builds! Very well done! 1
Zippi Posted January 4, 2023 Posted January 4, 2023 I remember both of these builds. Just a Great pair of models but the 32 Coupe is my favorite. Nice job for 2022. 1
Joe Nunes Posted January 4, 2023 Posted January 4, 2023 You hit two home runs with these models! Very nice! ? Joe 1
Bullybeef Posted January 4, 2023 Posted January 4, 2023 Your Deuce has given me quite a bit of inspirational materiel for a build I’ve had in mind. 1
happy grumpy Posted January 4, 2023 Posted January 4, 2023 Super clean builds. That ford looks awesome. 1
Lobo2me Posted January 4, 2023 Posted January 4, 2023 Oh man, this is a tuffy. Been trying to decide which of these two spectacular builds I like best. I'm going with the Chevy Wagon, no wait, I'll pick the 32 Ford, yes, no, yes. Both are great...but the Ford is more my cup of team...make that "flask of Templeton Rye." 1
Phildaupho Posted January 4, 2023 Posted January 4, 2023 Two exceptional builds in your super clean style. Both restrained yet aggressive. 1
Steve H Posted January 4, 2023 Posted January 4, 2023 Yep, these are both stunning Dennis. I really like your clean build style. Although both are spectacular, the wagon is definitely my fav of the 2. I really enjoyed watching that one come together. Cheers, Steve 1
bbowser Posted January 4, 2023 Posted January 4, 2023 Two outstanding models! I enjoyed the article in the mag. Hope to see more of your work this year. 1
NOBLNG Posted January 4, 2023 Posted January 4, 2023 I’d be lucky to get one done at that level of perfection…assuming I was even capable of it.? Beautiful work Dennis!? 1
espo Posted January 4, 2023 Posted January 4, 2023 After seeing the way you built the Chevy II wagon I can see why you were asked to do the '32. 1

TooOld Posted January 5, 2023 Posted January 5, 2023 Super nice work as always Dennis ! Really like them both but that wagon is one I'd like to own in real life . 1
Tom Geiger Posted January 5, 2023 Posted January 5, 2023 Very cool builds! And two more than I finished! 1
