I started this build about 10 years ago or so and only recently finished it so I don't remember where the trans came from but it is not exactly correct. The correct auto trans should be a C4 Cruise-O-Matic but I as I recall I couldn't locate a 1/24 C4 trans so I "close enoughed it" with goodies from the parts box. 1
Dave Darby Posted February 17, 2023 Posted February 17, 2023 That build is a winner top to bottom. Pretty on top, and dead nuts accurate with the details and colors on the bottom. Nice, nice job.
Bainford Posted February 17, 2023 Posted February 17, 2023 Fine looking Shelby. Love the sanitary look. All round great build. Nice work on the wheels. Love it!
Rodent Posted February 17, 2023 Posted February 17, 2023 (edited) Looks really nice! There are a lot of photos online of Shelby's production facility in '65-66 and it appears that the vast majority of the cars left without LeMans stripes. Unknown how many had them added later by the dealers or owners or even restorers, but it seems like that all of them you see now have LeMans stripes. Glad to see that this car escaped having them added. I don't see any interior pics, but what did you use for the A/T shifter and base? You only just joined in October, but please continue to post your work. It's obvious that you have been holding out on us! Edited February 17, 2023 by Rodent

Great job! I had a 1966 also. But vintage raced it so it had a few miles, great no nonsense cars. These cars made you feel great. Bought mine for $800 in 1979. Blown engine and crashed in the front. Fixed everything and owned it for many years. A dentist in San Francisco bought it and I soon learned what capital gains taxes were. Could have bought a very nice low mileage 66 Shelby GT350 for $10,000 in 1985. But passed it up. Oh well at least I had the very used one. Here is a pic of my real one. Great job on the model! You did a fantastic job on it. I love the red konis on your car.
Maindrian Pace Posted February 17, 2023 Posted February 17, 2023 It doesn't get much better than perfect, does it?
