Sam I Am Posted February 24, 2023 Posted February 24, 2023 (edited) I have been plugging away at this for almost two years and hardly anything done to it last year. Time to rectify that, and hopefully posting this will keep me motivated. Resin body, hood, grill, and interior tub. So far everything else is from the donor kit other than the seats. They are from the parts box. I do know that I removed the head rests, and the base is from another seat bottom. Paint is from Duplicolor. Here is where I am at. Dash is tacked on to the firewall so I can make sure everything still goes together when it is installed. I need to finish the interior, and I think I have the interior color figured out. I am thinking a company logo on the side panels. I mean, that is why these were built after all. Edited February 25, 2023 by Sam I Am 6
Zippi Posted February 24, 2023 Posted February 24, 2023 That's looking pretty sharp there Sam. Love that color.
Steve H Posted February 25, 2023 Posted February 25, 2023 Man I love those 41 Chev grills. Looks great so far Sam, hope you can stay with it til completion. Not many trucks are “beautiful”, but the 41 Chev is definitely a beautiful truck in my opinion.
espo Posted February 25, 2023 Posted February 25, 2023 Somehow the front end looks better with the delivery body than on the pickup.
Sam I Am Posted February 25, 2023 Author Posted February 25, 2023 Thanks everyone! Last night while test fitting the firewall, I kept looking at the interior tub and kept saying to myself how bland it was...then "ding ding ding" they came with wood floors! So one decal sheet later. 5
Bainford Posted February 26, 2023 Posted February 26, 2023 Cool project. The ‘41 looks great as a panel. Nice work on the floor.
Steve H Posted February 26, 2023 Posted February 26, 2023 Ding, ding, ding indeed! That looks really nice. Perfect floor for a delivery vehicle, it really pops with the black floor. Cheers, Steve
89AKurt Posted February 27, 2023 Posted February 27, 2023 Wurlitzer grill Chevy panel, love it! So I guess the paint has cured by now, eh? Good to see a Bring Out Your Dead WIP.
Sam I Am Posted March 6, 2023 Author Posted March 6, 2023 (edited) Thanks everyone ! Yeah Kurt, the paint has cured. ? I think the interior is sorted. I will let what I have dry fully and hope all the test fitting works. Now to figure out if I can use the pickup front glass or have to make one. Edited March 6, 2023 by Sam I Am 2
Butter 1 Posted March 8, 2023 Posted March 8, 2023 Nice looking panel. I think I like the panel better than the pickup. Good choice of colors and wheels.
Sam I Am Posted March 8, 2023 Author Posted March 8, 2023 (edited) Thanks Ron ! When this gets put under glass, I will take a pic of it and my pickup side by side, and you can choose. ? Getting close, just a few more pieces and it will be finished. It feels good to finally get this one done. One question, I like to put a shop logo in the panel area. I am on the fence. Part of me says the blue needs to broken up. I think I will wait until the visor is on. I really don't have anything the right size or colors to fill the panel...so it will be blank until I find something that looks right. Edited March 9, 2023 by Sam I Am 3
