I'd send that middle one back Curtis, the CHEVROLET lettering is upside down. ??

Seriously, though, they do look pretty good except for one glaring mistake.

They go from about $33 to close to $40 depending on the kit. Canadian $ is a bit more.  Be aware that some of the kits are re branded Monogram NASCAR models from the 80s. The 70s era cars like the Oldsmobiles are Salvino's own tooling. The new 2022 NASCAR is Salvino's own tooling. All are nicely detailed.

Thanks Gregory. I would go for the latest ones.

Went to the HipCat Hustle Car and Model show in Morehead, KY today. Great show! Met a couple of my heros and made a few new friends!

These are just a small bit of what I got there. Still haven't unpacked the rest.

Got the Bomex RX-7 in the mail from a FB purchase.

Yeah, I picked it up because ive been seeing a lot of great builds of it and it's been decently painted in a nice shade of green. Looks like maybe spray a couple coats of clear and I'm good to go.

Here is the second round of what I picked up yesterday along with the previous photo. I also got a bunch of Square Body pickup and Blazer rebuilders and a couple of Broncos.

How much did you pay for the RX-7?

Another technically important historic race car from what I consider to be the "golden era", the IMC 1/25 kit of Jim Hall's Chaparral 2E. Lightly started by a gloo-smearer who wisely gave up early in the game. Missing a few non-essential parts, but the tough-to-fabricate stuff is all there, in excellent shape, and as it's another candidate for a heavy upgrade, what's missing is no big deal...especially as I got it significantly under the usual going rate.

Also got a Flintstone White 3000 cabover cab. Love these things. Pity it's listed as 1/25, cause it ain't.

Flintstone absolutely positively pulled his mold from the beautiful 1/24 Danbury mint version, which I have already compared, so I won't feel bad at all pulling a few copies from this one for my own use.

I picked up an AMT Viper kit to build a while back, and immediately put it on the shelf for a couple of years to see if it’s undersized wheels would grow a little to a more acceptable size.

Unfortunately they did not, so I ordered a Revell snap-kit Viper to poach the wheels from…and actually, for a snap kit, it doesn’t look too bad of a kit in it’s own right.  Not as detailed as the AMT kit, but decent…so now I gotta find wheels for THAT one too ?

I still have my COX Chaparral slot car, in pretty good shape.  Need to refurbish the real metal wheels, tho, and find one headlight cover that some jerk broke when he put his bare chassis on my lane, c. 1966.  Oh, backwards!

I'm building the resin White 3000 in memory of our one-owner 1/1 truck-tractor; I had to build the enlarged sleeper version (like Greenberg did in S__A__ magazine a few years ago, and I'm using the AMT Ford C-Series chassis and flat-bed to make it a car hauler.  Have 1/24 Mono Model A tub Altered I built in 1962 on a new chassis to ride it; very old school with Mono SBC (straight stacks, Hilborn, etc.) almost finished.  Gee, guess I didn't just get these...

Stopped at the hobby shop today to grab paint, only paint I told myself don't bring anything else home you have enough kits now.

That didn't work out.
