Straightliner59
I got a spool of 36 ga. nichrome wire, to use for spokes for some wire wheels for my dragster project. Now, if that 3/4" diameter brass bar would get here from Colorado Springs. It was in town, the next day. It sat. Two days later, it was in Carson, CA. It sits. I mean, really?! CabDriver
Belated birthday present - I’ve wanted one of these for a while! Gonna build a replica of my 1:1… Seems like a nicely done kit - reminded me a lot of the Tamiya Mk1 Miata…
Brudda
Just received this . 1/8 Agora supersnake. My completed one went to Shelby American. I get to do anything to this one. I have a wrecked Shelby GT 500 also. I’ll mix it up and see what we come up with. I will change the color. Will detail it also. I like the freedom to change things up. Here we go…….

Inventory the parts. Have been looking at the other 1967 Shelby colors and I am not impressed. Not going to paint another red car. I might scotch brite the white finish and reclear with automotive urethane clear.

niteowl7710
A few weeks back I got this package of odds and sods from HobbyEasy. Mostly decals, but also some window masks and re-mastering of an old Hobby Design Resin Set I had always wanted from years past that they just re-released up to their current standards. I'd have to 3D print the engine parts to get a real appearance, and at these prices I should not have to.

ewetwo
Fist pic? Don’t know what it’s from. 2n pic has 1976 mustang on the chrome pure tab. 4th pic. 3 Mags. Figures there wasn’t 4. Lol. Pics 5 and 6 are parts for the original MPC GTO Pro Stocker. Might be complete except for missing the hood. Body is in the purple pond. And the last 3 Pics. A Charlie’s Angels Pink Chevy Van. Don’t know if anything other than the dash, steering wheel and front seats is in the inside. The top is glued on.
Brudda
7 hours ago, cobraman said: Just one guys opinion but I think they look best in white. I will follow your WIP with interest. Hello Ray. I have a DeAgostini GT 500 for parts. I guess the agora kit and the DeAgostini kit are mostly the same molds. I have took apart the DeAgostini kit and am going to repaint that body so I do not ruin the agora body. In 1967, the color choice was not the best. So I’m kind of stuck if I want to build a stock one. Gotta think about this. Lordairgtar is right, the engine is toy like and needs a lot of modeling help, maybe even a few parts from shapeways. The transmission in this car is really toy like also. I reworked the doors so they fit and open better on the DeAgostini body. Figured if I ruin a body , might as well be on the DeAgostini body. Your cobra is a much better kit. Everything fits good with no headaches. . What I do like about the Shelby mustang , DeAgostini and Agora kit is that they got the overall shape right, the nose especially.

cobraman
I think that yellow with the twin black stripes would be nice and something you seldom see. Keeping in mind I am color blind in part so I don't see every color the way others may.

The GTO is the Super Stocker (dirt track car). There was a pro stocker but it was a '72 drag car, totally different thing. The kit you have was recently reissued so you should be able to locate a hood. The reissues do not include the "pony" or "floater" tire (left front tire that looks like a grooved drag slick). niteowl7710
Latvia has finally landed. In fairness to A&N they did notify me upfront of the extended production lead time and gave an estimated shipping date that they nailed to the day. The subsequent 3 weeks of transit time are reasonable given the global travel situation still effects the mail, and the Memorial Day Holiday added a couple of days on this end. Regardless everything arrived in pristine condition on first glance.
89AKurt
Something I didn't know existed, that I didn't know I wanted, found by accident on "that site" that sucks money from you. Never heard of the brand. Nobody put a bid in the 3 times it was listed, so I made an offer since that was an option. Looks like a really detailed kit, has steel springs that are custom wound, would be tempted to articulate the suspension if I'm insane. It will take more time to translate the instructions, than build it.

Straightliner59
Nothing glamorous, like kits, but I got these 10 meter spools of .011" wire, I found on Ebay. The yellow looks a bit bright, for my taste, although I think I've seen some newer plug wires that are closer to it. .011" is a nice size. The price was good, and, it only took two weeks to get here from China! I also got this 3/4" brass bar stock, with the idea of using it to make rims for dragster fronts. I've since found 1/8" wall tube, that will be a better starting point, so...
Mike 1017
I stumbled across this great deal on Facebook Market Place. $50.00 for the slot car set, the timer, and the track extension. It was listed for 2 hours when I saw it and only 30 minutes from my home. I figure retail for all of it is about $255.99 Mike
