Ulf Posted June 3 Posted June 3 Just the box, I will repair, reinforce and varnish with Pledge before using it for ongoing projects. It will be so much nicer on the workbench no matter what I build. 9
John M. Posted June 4 Posted June 4 I've been looking for a Chevy Monza for a while on E Bay and scored this AMT one that's customized from a vendor that lives just North of me and for a real song. He even cleaned it up before shipping it out and it arrived overnight. What a guy. 🙂 5

I have one of those as well, purchased from Paul when his company was still Dragon. One of my favorite builds. I have always thought that this was one of the best-looking Ferraris. I recently got the coupe version.

Mine too - it was my first resin kit I ever built (more than 30 years ago as a commission for a modeling shop in Vienna) - now I have one for myself ! 2

oldcarfan Posted June 5 Posted June 5 I got something I never expected to find. It's a Mercedes Benz Sprinter in 1/24th scale! I've been wanting a newer body style van for a while as a tow vehicle like an MB or a Ford Transit. I'd given up on a company tooling up a kit and started searching for a 3D version. To my surprise I found this one listed on Walmart.com of all places for $20. It's produced in the Ukraine by Tigres and is an accurate 1/24th scale with good bodylines. The cockpit is simplified so I'll need to do some bashing to fix that, but the front doors and the rear access doors open like a diecast so I can add a good interior to it. The last picture is what I hope to turn it into. 3

If I left the yard with that thing and my cameras & camping gear, I might never come back. 2

kelson Posted June 6 Posted June 6 Todays arrival,..............yup another 72'Roadrunner😁,but this one has the front bumper and grille unlike the one i got a couple weeks ago. 8
ewetwo Posted June 6 Posted June 6 (edited) Got all of this for $20. Don't know if the Big Red is from Ollie's or not. Dated 2006 on the box. If it is from Ollies. Seems to me there was some issue with the kit. Does anyone recall what it was? The corvette kit is missing the regular tires. Does anyone know what they looked like? The 59 Chevy and Lincoln are old screw bottoms. And the Austin Healy with the 12 on the hood I think is at one time had a motor in it? Edited June 6 by ewetwo 5
A modeler named mike Posted June 6 Posted June 6 These showed up by mail a couple of days ago. I've been busy filling my show rod voids and spotted the '69 pro street GTX and said why not. It was on the make an offer option, so I did and got it for the price of the newer issue, open and complete as is the Groovy Grader which also was fairly priced. 5
dave branson Posted June 6 Posted June 6 THis is what I got this week. I made a trip to Ollie's, local hobby shop, Camaro is from ebay and the diecast truck is from Wal Mart 2

I saw that on their website a couple of days ago when I was looking for a Charger Pursuit. One of these days I am going to spend a few days down there and check them out and see the Peterson Museum while I am visiting. Edited June 7 by Rodent 2

Is that the original MPC kit? I wonder if that tooling is still in Round 2's warehouse somewhere?

meechum68 Posted June 7 Posted June 7 At Ollie's I have been able to get kits from 12.99 to 14.99 US dollar. That was what I paid back in the early 90's, with a few 8.99 kits.
