I got these two Cobras donated to me by a  fellow member ( thanks Dave ) . The Monogram needs very little work and the AMT needs a bit more but I think I can save it .

1:25 AMT Ertl Ghostbusters Ecto 1A Cadillac Ambulance by Spottedlaurel, on Flickr

At £25 including shipping it was an expensive way of buying a replacement windscreen for my stalled hearse conversion started 25 or so years ago, but not a bad price given what these usually go for. Despite appearances the contents inside the box are fine, including that all-important piece of glass!

I can now finish the hearse in a future round of Snake's Bring Out Your Dead, and the remains can be built as a banger racer (demo derby car).

Often wondered about these small kits . Were on bay cheap so I bought it . Did not expect much and I wasn’t disappointed . May paint and build for laughs .

I remember these on the stages as a rally marshal in the day!  I remember both drivers Malcolm Wilson and Tony Pond driving them. In fact a friend had a custom exhaust business (exhausts for both rally and F1) and he replaced the shortened V8 they had in the car  to a full blown Rover V8 as his daily driver to & fro his business each day, awesome! As a kit I hear it is great, to me as a retiree far too expensive.

AMT Gremlin, because I’ve always wanted to build one and they’re $10 at Ollie’s right now (actually, $8.50 if you’re a loyalty member and you use your coupon), some $2 paint from Ollie’s too and a couple of bits from Hobby Lobby.  I love Saturday shopping day!

Monthly local toy show. Got a complete, clean "Masterpiece" issue AMT '71 Charger (built and painted, just needs some minor Snake-Fu), a dirty '94 Mustang promo that should clean up nicely, and a fairly cleanly built '67 GTO that should make a great addition to my mythical Retrobates car club of the late '70s/early '80s with a couple hours of Snake-Fu rescue work.

Then stopped at the last Rite-Aid in my area and got a $10 Welly Aston-Martin DB9. They had a Lotus Elan I'd never seen before, but it was missing the right-side window and door inner panel, and it looked small for 1/24. Could have had it for $5 (buy one, get one half off), but I wasn't crazy about the color, either (light blue), so left it. Maybe next time they'll have a red one or some other color.

Got outbid as usual for a '60 Ford pickup hood emblem, so I ordered a full set from Rookie Resins - which works out cheaper for all three :). Also picked up a '59 Continental steering wheel; with a few mods to the center it will be correct for the '59 Century Coronado boat.
