Bucky Posted November 10, 2017 Posted November 10, 2017 I kinda hope it's something that hasn't been done by anybody, other than the resin aftermarket shops!
Bill J Posted November 10, 2017 Posted November 10, 2017 I have to guess that it will be something that will have a following...somewhere. Not much excites me anymore. They can keep all the Corvette's, Camaro's, Buick's, Oldsmobile's and most all MOPAR's. Over saturated with them already. Wait and see, I reckon. I'm hoping for a 49 Packard convertible, not likely is it?
moparfarmer Posted November 10, 2017 Posted November 10, 2017 What ever it is or who makes it, unless its a re-release they will get some miles out of the tooling..Or its maybe the final version of the tooling..Who knows..Time will tell. Its only 4 days away..Hold on and shut up, the ride is going to be exciting..
RickRollerLT1 Posted November 10, 2017 Posted November 10, 2017 (edited) If it's Revell, then it's probably just gonna be another stinkin' variation of the '32 in the Foose line with enhancements, in which "ground breaking" would mean "best seller even though it's a tired subject" for Revell and Ed Saxton. Edited November 10, 2017 by RickRollerLT1
kelson Posted November 10, 2017 Posted November 10, 2017 I'll guess a new kit of the 2018 ford Bronco from Revell.
Sledsel Posted November 10, 2017 Posted November 10, 2017 77-78 Thunderbird done in the style of the Revell 77 Monte Carlo.......Plez...If sharing anything with the Torino, I'd pass.....
MrObsessive Posted November 10, 2017 Posted November 10, 2017 If sharing anything with the Torino, I'd pass..... Hmmm...........that's funny you mentioned that Andy, because when I spoke to Ed Sexton personally about that car, I suggested that's what they could use as a starting point. Mechanically that is, as of course the bodies are different save for the windshield and A pillars. We'll see..........
1930fordpickup Posted November 10, 2017 Posted November 10, 2017 My guess is a Stock 32 Ford pickup and a 1967 Chevy Pickup. Both should sell good.
Tom Geiger Posted November 10, 2017 Posted November 10, 2017 so Christmas has been moved to this coming Sunday? Kewl! Stop the negative noise folks. I believe we are talking about Revell here and they've done some amazing things recently. Who woulda thunk '57 Ford wagon, Bronco and '66 Suburban.. so I will sit here and anticipate the best!
randyc Posted November 10, 2017 Posted November 10, 2017 Just amazed they haven't put it out there for everyone to start drooling over already. But I guess this is that starting point. So that makes us, what, a year from actually holding it? I hope it's something I want. And that could be a lot of choices.
echoxrayniner Posted November 10, 2017 Posted November 10, 2017 (edited) I'mma try and curb my own enthusiasm as... well, apparently there's ****-all desire for late seventies, early eighties shadow-of-their-former-selves muscle cars(or at least, seemingly), but if there's a '70-'76 Ranchero, '75-'76 Grand Am or dare I say, Can Am, or even as much as a simple, dull late seventies Regal, I'd literally be screaming joy off rooftops. The annuals from MPC back in the day, even though they were objectively quite balls, still make for nice time pieces.Hell coming to think of it, wouldn't even be opposed to some proper kitted new gen Ford/Chevy/Dodges. The rest of the fixes have not been too bad. Front bumper fix is tought to get it to look right tho.
Jordan White Posted November 10, 2017 Posted November 10, 2017 I won't put my hopes up at all, but I would love to see something built in the last 20 years that isn't a Camaro/Challenger/Mustang.

Matt T. Posted November 10, 2017 Posted November 10, 2017 Multiple versions of a new tooling.Hmm...‘26/‘27 turtle deck T hot rods? With period-correct drivetrain and suspension? Oh yeah.
Erik Smith Posted November 10, 2017 Posted November 10, 2017 1984 Ford Tempo...and the second version will be...a 1984 Mercury Topaz! (not what I would choose, but I tried to think of what could be the most unappealing subjects a kit company could choose)This or a 1996 Toyota Camry. Please!
CapSat 6 Posted November 10, 2017 Posted November 10, 2017 Who wants to create odds? Here are my guesses:Manufacturer (in descending order of the best chances): Revell, Moebius, Round 2Make (in descending order of the best chances): Ford (always the crowd favorite), Dodge (Mopars are undeniably hot right now, and there are some truck opportunities that are compelling), Chevrolet, Plymouth (see Dodge), Pontiac, Mercury, Oldsmobile (Vista Cruiser, anyone???), All others...Here's what's overdue in my opinion:1) Hellcat2) Hellcat (at the very least, this powertrain should exist in scale)+3) Hellcat (ok, I've made my point)4) 1968-69 Mercury Cyclone5) 60's Dodge Pickup6) 1964-66 Plymouth Barracuda and Dodge Dart 7) any 1967-77 Ford Ranchero8) 1970 Dodge Dart SwingerI guess we'll see...
samdiego Posted November 10, 2017 Posted November 10, 2017 (edited) I'm hoping for the '56 Ersatz Belchfire Coupe. Long overdue Edited November 10, 2017 by samdiego
Muncie Posted November 10, 2017 Posted November 10, 2017 cool! a new kit announcement is good news - the way the time zones work out, it will be announced Sunday before I have my morning coffee!
Snake45 Posted November 10, 2017 Posted November 10, 2017 I'm hoping for the '56 Ersatz Belchfire Coupe. Long overdueYup. That and the '64 Dizbuster GT.

doggie427 Posted November 10, 2017 Posted November 10, 2017 1957 Ford Ranchero , 1972 Ford Ranchero , 1930 Ford roadster
highway Posted November 10, 2017 Posted November 10, 2017 1984 Ford Tempo...and the second version will be...a 1984 Mercury Topaz! (not what I would choose, but I tried to think of what could be the most unappealing subjects a kit company could choose) It was appealing enough for Kenny Bernstein!!! 1972 Ford Ranchero This has been done as a full resin kit without an engine so whatever engine you'd want could be installed.
Rob Hall Posted November 10, 2017 Posted November 10, 2017 I have the '72 Ranchero resin kit, very nice. I really want a '70 to go with it..
