70 Sting
Good Afternoon, Just finished photography on the latest build, Revell's '32 Ford 5-Window Coupe 2'n1. The kit can be built as a Coupe or Highboy and I went with a combination of both. Paint is Mr. Color Mr. Metal Violet Metallic GX207 over Tamiya LP-1 Gloss Black and clear coated with Mr. Color GX100. The roof and running boards are Tamiya Rubber Black, interior is Zero Paints Chocolate and Beige. Most of the kit chrome was stripped with LA's Totally Awesome, base coated with with gloss black and painted with Zero Paints Chrome. Initially I wanted the hood removable however this led to fitment issues with the side panels so I went with just top section fixed in place. Engine was was wired with a Gofer Racing distributer. What I Learned: 1. First time using Mr. Color paints. It's much thicker than anything I've used in the past but thins well with Unicorn Tears (Mr. Levelling Thinner). I prefer the shine and apparent hardness of GX100 Gloss Clear over Tamiya's TS-13. 2. First time using Zero Paints Chrome - I prefer this over AK Interactive's Chrome. It seems less prone to smudging/marring. 3. First time trying to make a wood-like steering wheel. I'll do better next time. 4. Kits with running boards and fenders are finicky (for me) when it comes to fitment. No matter how much test fitting I do, things don't always go as planned. I'm wasn't happy with the rear fenders and body as there's too much of a gap for my liking. Thanks for looking :^)
stitchdup
Nice looking rod, theres just something about the 5 window that makes it suit fenders better than the 3 window imo

espo
Amazing looking paint color and finish. All the body fitment looks great, and the interior looks like some place you would want to spend some time, were 1/25th of my size.
ea0863
Harry, I'm not sure which I love more - the build itself, or the fantastic photography! If I had built this beauty, it would be front-and-center in my display case!

Spex84
Now that's sanitary! Great photography too. Despite the issues you encountered with fender fit, the end result strikes me as dramatically successful!

bisc63
What a gem! Love the color and the build overall, and that chrome paint looks very nice. I may have to look into Zero paints; your results are impressive. Very well done.
70 Sting
Thanks @bisc63. Zero Paints has an impressive range of colours. I’m still trying to get better results with them before I try painting a car body.
